Delighting diners for 90 years, the Tam O'Shanter is Los Angeles' oldest restaurant operated by the same family in the same location. Enjoy good cheer, warm hospitality and exceptional food in a cozy old world atmosphere. If you have some Scottish ancestry, you might even find your family tartan among the extensive collection decorating the walls!

Great place with a little Walt Disney history! Lowry's Seasonings was started here also! Food was good and wait staff was very pleasant.

This may be a very nice restaurant for couples, but I would not book a group here. We made plans two months ahead, and were told we could order from the menu if we had less than 36. We were also told we had a "room" for the group. Three days before the event, we were told that even though... More

Went to lunch in this iconic joint and found it enjoyable. Obviously and old school draw, many of the patrons look like they have been coming here for years...many years. There is the "pub" and the dining room for lunch, with the dining room having a more extensive menu. We went with the sandwich bar, and enjoyed a pressed Reuben... More

We went here with our tour group with Adventures by Disney. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing and being able to see the booth that Walt Disney would frequent is very cool. A gem in LA

We visited the Tam O'Shanter last week to celebrate my mom's birthday. It is her favorite restaurant. My husband and I hadn't been there for quite awhile and had forgotten what a special place it is. The atmosphere is beautiful without being too fancy. It's pub-like environment makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. The food was very... More

This is just a small step down from it's big brother Lawry's. But the sandwich and ale bar is a great way to get super food at an affordable price in a legendary restaurant. This used to be Walt Disney's favorite place to dine. Of course, I have to recommend prime rib, but everything tasted was good. Happy hours run... More

I enjoy everything I order, but not like the good old days when Sunday bread and strawberry butter was served and children menu available and lots of menu items gone. Still a very festive atmosphere with good food. Must join their club.Have been coming for over 25 years

We ate lunch here yesterday with my sister and brother in-law. We sat in a booth in the bar area, and I wouldn't do that again. One of the other booths, or the other room is better. It is decorated with pieces of Scottish Tartans, and decorations. Busy at lunch. The food was good, with the exception of the meatloaf... More

Actually a registered historical sight this place has a lot of charm. It has been a familiar landmark since the 1920s. Looks like an inn built in England some 300 years ago. Heavy roughhewn beams on the interior give it an authentic look and a wonderful atmosphere. Food is classic American and is very good. A must for those who... More

The Tam O'Shanter is an unexpected restaurant for the Los Angeles area. It has an old world Europe feel to it and specializes in prime rib. It is an older restaurant (one of Walt Disney's favorites in fact), an is a nice relief from the ultra modern attempts at chic restaurants to populate the area. The food was very good.... More
