Beautiful decor, good service, expensive

My friend had good salmon for $28. I had short ribs for $29, and they were oily. Maybe that was because of the pasta mixed in. I would not order it again. The sticky toffee dessert is bread pudding. Don't bother. The C. C. Brown's hot fudge sundae is big and excellent! On the menu it said... read more

The Good: Lawry's Prime Rib without the fuss and hike to Beverly Hills. Ambiance is kitschy Irish and definitely make this a unique establishment. Service was acceptable - our drinks were always refilled, however a request for more bread was forgotten. Their saving grace? The Chocolate Souffle. Trust me, just do it. The Bad: the actual rib roast size is... More

We picked a nice restaurant so that we could enjoy a leisurely dinner with friends from out of the country that we had not seen in years. Instead, we got rushed rude service and fair food. The portions were inconsistent as was the food. We all ordered chocolate souffles for dessert, some were full of chocolate some had virtually no... More

Dinner at the Tam O'Shanter is an experience in itself, we asked for the Walt Disney table; which is where Walt and his imagineers would meet for lunch and discuss their latest Disney movie ideas. They have a full bar and the mixologist is great, the food was terrific, we had Angus Burgers and Salmon, the selection ranges from Fish... More

I've been eating at the Tam since the days when the Tam O' Shanter cut of prime rib was about $15.95. In all the years their quality in food and service has been consistently very good. It's always a pleasure to eat there. The guest is never rushed or slighted in any way. Consistency is a valuable asset to a... More

I went to the Tam O'Shanter again, with friends, to have some drinks and food. I've been here before, but honestly, I am becoming increasingly disappointed with it. The main quibble I have with this restaurant, is the uneven service of drinks and alcohol. I ordered a glass of wine, which cost about $15, and when it arrived, I was... More

Stopped in with a friend who mentioned that Walt Disney used to bring his animators. The location is really a step back in time and a very fun historical romp, but the food was just mediocre. In fact, it was brought out to us within 3 minutes of us ordering....tale tell sign that it was just sitting under a heat... More

I was very surprised that this was as bad as it was. Their signature prime rib came out cool and extremely fatty. The taste was fair to poor. The sides were average at best. The restaurant is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food presented. Be prepared to return the food as often as necessary to justify the price.... More

We had a great family dinner at the Tam O'Shanter last night. I only go to this restaurant, about once a year over Thanksgiving while in town visiting family, and this place never disappoints. The holiday decor is always so fun and a very nice welcome to the holiday season. Besides the food and drinks which are always great, the... More

Can't think of any better prime rib I've had ever. Lovely waitstaff. Fantastic list of whiskeys, both Scotch and American. We attended their Christmas dinner program and it was delightful. This is a Lawry's establishment and the Tam does the brand proud. One can see why Walt Disney was a regular back when.
