Have been coming here for about 10 years and the food [mostly organic] is delicious... open grill, homemade bread and oil/pesto/olive dip friendly crew, great view of Griffith Park Observatory from small pavement patio ... brunch at weekends a good deal...go for a walk in Griffith Park [a great circular walk from Commonwealth gate around by Greek Theatre and down... Italian based food but not only this place is friendly, always have a table in this large dining room and welcome you warmly. Food is generally organic, generous and fresh, angel hair pasta with artichoke, sole with couscous... I never have space for dessert but they look fantastic. They screen Charlie Chaplin movies.

Purans is one of those places where you walk in and feel special at once. We had a wonderful server who added to the positive experience. From the delicious bread and dipping sauce, the fish and chips appetizer, the kale salad, my blue cheese burger, my daughter's penne pasta in red pepper sauce, and my wife's veggie burger, the food... You can always count on Puran's for great service and excellent food. Try it when in the Los Feliz neighborhood.

Puran's is a cozy, welcoming restaurant with fresh, natural, tasty food. A great place for a first date, because it's romantic but not too formal. The kitchen is integrated next to the dining room, which adds to the homey, sort of country French atmosphere. Bet you can't get enough of the incredible sauce they offer for dipping your warm bread.... More

We ordered carry-out from Puran's and couldn't have been happier. Ready when promised, and everything delicious: signature roast beet salad was a different and very good take on this over-done staple; caprese salad classic and fine; charbroiled steak w/ pomegranate sauce, baked potato slices and spinach a standout; yummy angel hair pasta with artichoke is gourmet comfort food; and the... Accidental find on our foray into Los Feliz.... mid-afternoon lunch... really pleasant eating space (sat just indoors but lots of light from the patio)...very nice service... my husband's penne pasta with sausage was raved about... I ordered the "world famous" roasted beet sald...and it deserves the fame and moniker. We liked it so much we are thinking of returning this... More

Went here on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews. Learned when I went, on a Tuesday night, that they had a $15 prix fixe dinner option. Sounded good! My starter, a lemon barley soup, was amazing (though it may sound strange). The entree, a breaded chicken, was the low point, as it was quite plain and bland. The dessert, fresh... More

This restaurant has great food and a nice atmosphere as well. I find myself craving the certain dishes I enjoy. Delicious salad, fish and pasta dishes are my favorite here. This restaurant is on my short list.
