Would Love to Try More!

I would have liked to try more here because everything we had was great. I got the salad with grilled chicken. Such a great mixture of vegetables, squash, spinach, carrots, cucumber. And very good citrus dressing. It was fresh and healthy but still pretty hearty. My boyfriend got their burger which... read more

I wasn't in the mood for lining up and searching for an available table but the food was good. Sandwiches and salads. Separate breakfast and lunch menus

This is a great place for sandwiches and our server tony was awesome. The ahi tuna sandwich was great. Perhaps the best fries that I have tasted in a long time. We went here because ti was museum of modern art. You will do well here and all parites will be satisfied.

I'm guessing this is a great place to have lunch or after dinner drinks if you work downtown. It is a short & brisk walk to the Music Center and Ahmanson Theater -so we chose to eat at Blue Cow Kitchen. The decor is hip. The food was very good. The sangria was yummy. Each item we shared was delicious.... More

This is a nice spot for Happy Hour or evening cocktails on a hot summer night...there's a little outdoor patio for you to enjoy, and from there you can sip on your drink and enjoy the skyscraper view around you. Their Happy Hour food is pretty good too. I've had lunch here as well, the food is good but I... More

This is no attempt to assess the quality of the food, for we had no occasion to taste it. A reservation was made online and confirmed by e-mail for three on Feb. 7 through "Rezbook". Upon arrival we were told that there was no record of such a reservation. A table could be found if we waited 45 minutes. We... More

We ate here before a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall. It was pretty much the only "happening" place in the mall where it is located, but that was a good thing. The after-work crowd were obviously enjoying themselves. Loved the food - we had 3 share plates between two, and were well satisfied. The cost was extremely reasonable, service... More

My wife and I proposed to meet another couple in downtown Los Angeles after we attended the LA Art & Design show this past Saturday night. We have eaten at several of the new restaurants that have sprung up in the last few years and they have been generally quite good. I was interested in trying something new and the... More

My group & I stopped here for dinner while on business. The atmosphere is very cool & hip. The menu is small but diverse and offers interesting ingredient combinations. I had the lamb burger which was wonderful. Others at my table had the roasted chicken, pork belly tacos, & a salad. We were all very pleased with our meals &... More

Blue Cow is located in California Plaza and is a very cool place to grab a bite to eat after work or to hang out for a drink. There's inside and outside seating...I love sitting outside on a warm night, with the city lights surrounding me...those skyscrapers look awesome at night. Their drinks are nice and I think the food... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
