Watch out Starbucks

All I have to say is that Starbucks, which is down the street from this quaint more than a coffee house, better thank their lucky stars this is not a chain. I was visiting North Hollywood and was on my way to Starbucks my daily watering hole to get my coffee and do some writing, when a friend... read more

I really really want to love this place. It is a clever name and concept, but it is poorly run. The basic product is decent but the managment has no idea about what they are doing. If a good manager would come in this could become a very popular and profitable business.

We came twice to this restaurant with two different groups of friends. The first time we ordered a meal and sat in the back at a huge round table. We ordered at the counter and took our number to the back. Live music was playing and the atmosphere was amazing with plenty of space. While waiting for our food this... More

This is a great little coffee and pie place in North Hollywood. They serve both sweet and savory pies, host live music, and sling very delicious Stumptown coffee. I am recently got the coconut cream pie which is excellent but if you really want something truly decadent try their bread pudding.

I tried the Veggie Pot Pie and I disliked it so much. Foods that I usually try, are either really good and I love or some are okay and bearable to eat. But the pot pie had no taste whatsoever..something was missing in it. I know IT IS veggie, but something didn't within the flavors didn't blend well. My BF... More

I always go here for meetings. It feels like a Northern California or Pacific Northwest atmosphere which is a nice break from So Cal. Excellent coffees, teas, pies and everything. Great folks working there. Great people watching, too! Comfortable places to curl up or to work on computer. Books to borrow. Not inexpensive, but very tasty. Parking can be tough... More

We came here for brunch and some pie (of course) without much expectations. The interior is rather quaint. You walk in and seat yourself. We chose the community table because why not...I'm pregnant and the chairs were a better option than the very comfortably looking sofa chairs that I couldn't get out of alone. I had a vanilla latte which... More

This place looks/feels amazing when you walk in. Eclectic mix of seating and decor. However, been here twice and won't return because the food is just NOT GOOD. Coffee & service are both excellent, but the pies are lackluster, our quiche was dry, and the chicken pot pie was flavorless with undercooked veggies. Llve music is hit-or-miss. Last time we... Just came back from here. The staff is friendly and the crowd --young proffesionals. I saw people enjoying their day with either work or their friends. All in all I want to go there again to try their food, since the pastries and food look delicious. They have seating outside but try to relax on their couches. Cheers.

I had the turkey sandwich and the chocolate blueberry pie. The place is kind of fast food like but they are hedging their wages on their pies! The pie I had was very good. However, when I ordered a slice of pecan pie, it was like just eating pecans with a little bit of pie filling at the bottom. Kind... More
