All I have to say is that Starbucks, which is down the street from this quaint more than a coffee house, better thank their lucky stars this is not a chain. I was visiting North Hollywood and was on my way to Starbucks my daily watering hole to get my coffee and do some writing, when a friend called and... More

We came here for brunch and some pie (of course) without much expectations. The interior is rather quaint. You walk in and seat yourself. We chose the community table because why not...I'm pregnant and the chairs were a better option than the very comfortably looking sofa chairs that I couldn't get out of alone. I had a vanilla latte which... More

This place looks/feels amazing when you walk in. Eclectic mix of seating and decor. However, been here twice and won't return because the food is just NOT GOOD. Coffee & service are both excellent, but the pies are lackluster, our quiche was dry, and the chicken pot pie was flavorless with undercooked veggies. Llve music is hit-or-miss. Last time we... More

Just came back from here. The staff is friendly and the crowd --young proffesionals. I saw people enjoying their day with either work or their friends. All in all I want to go there again to try their food, since the pastries and food look delicious. They have seating outside but try to relax on their couches. Cheers.

I had the turkey sandwich and the chocolate blueberry pie. The place is kind of fast food like but they are hedging their wages on their pies! The pie I had was very good. However, when I ordered a slice of pecan pie, it was like just eating pecans with a little bit of pie filling at the bottom. Kind... More

I stopped by every day during my visit to LA. My friend lives nearby and is a regular who they know by name. The staff is very friendly. I can see why he comes so often: there's a light, airy atmosphere in the middle section with high skylights and a tree, blending the feel of indoor and outdoor space. There... More

You can eat pie there or take it to go. Amazing pie. Great, great coffee drinks. Great atmosphere in a cool area of North Hollywood. Good place to bring a book and read, there are couches. They have open mic at times. It's a bit hipster, a bit urban, a bit cool, try it out.

My friend took me, the out-of-towner, here for a change of pace. Let me just say I felt right at home with the shabby chic, warehouse decor that reminded me of some hip places in downtown Portland. And when you serve a foodie NW person coffee, my bar is high and they met it. My mocha was the perfect balance... More

I have not tried the savory pies, but the strawberry-rhubarb is heavenly. I am not a coffee drinker, but I am impressed with the selection of teas (white coconut cream, Earl Grey cream, blood orange, and more). They also offer free lemon water. As you enjoy your pie, you can plunk down on a sofa and read a book, watch... More

My friend and I went to Republic Of Pie while we were checking out North Hollywood, and overall, and say that I was not very pleased by their pies at all. Overall, this place is like a local Starbucks without the good products. When we were there, they had a two-girl band doing a set while there were classic movies... More
