I met my college friend at this place for a coffee. It was recommended by him. . I liked the store, very hip and nice modern architecture. Coffee was OK.

I stood for 10 bemused minutes in a club-like queue in the entrance, waiting to enter to order a... coffee. After seeing how slow and uninspired the barista was stumbling through his orders I left and went down the road. What a dysfunctional cafe.

We waited in line for 15 minutes on a cool December Sunday. I absolutely love the layout of this coffee bar. There are really cool seats outside - almost big blocks of smooth wood stacked casually on top of each other, creating some multi-tiered seating for coffee sippers. Inside is cool too, it looks like a mad scientist's coffee labratory!... More

The American habit of queuing for the "best coffee on the block" bemuses me as it is so unnecessary in the coffee culture of my home town (there's always that new place across the road). Still, it was a sunny Sunday morning with no rush or place to be, so I joined the hipsters on Abbott Kinney to see what... More

I will say that the structure itself is very cool and unique, the coffee is well done and the sweets are tasty but.....the "Soup Nazi" (a la Seinfeld) style of ordering and the overall vibe have got to go. I cannot stand the über-hipster attitude. Get over yourselves. What happened to the once upon a time "peace, love and happiness"... More

We wouldn't have known this café was there but for the queue outside - but there was plent of space inside so we thought maybe it was a marketing ploy to entice customers. Anyway, despite the rather precious atmosphere and décor (gleaming coffee machines and piping reminiscent of a small industrial plant), in a large high-ceilinged room, we much enjoyed... More

Although the Baristas are not super friendly, the coffee sure makes up for it. The baristas were not necessarily rude but were focused on making the coffee more than socializing with the customers. I asked a few questions regarding the coffee and pastries and they knew what they certainly knew their stuff. Americano - They made this with precision, making... More

Love the atmosphere. Cappuccino was really good. Chai latte was really good too. Overall really nice place to hangout while taking a break from walking along Abbot Kinney.

Stopped off for some coffee and tea with family while exploring Abbott Kinney. Amongst us we ordered coffee, chai tea, herbal tea and some pastries. The staff were knowledgable and efficient (despite the line - this place is popular!), and the coffee and tea were flavourful (the mugs were huge - real value for money!) Well worth a visit for... Modern looking and dog friendly. A little bit of overkill with "your own personal barista" that doesn't justify the slightly inflated prices. These guys are espresso specialists, so don't bother if you're after your standard American black filter coffee - you can get that anywhere and probably cheaper. The coffee here is good and you won't be disappointed.
