They take their coffee seriously, And it's so good, I had to take some (beans) home. Minimalist decor - but a lot of smiling faces. Especially after tasting the coffee. The assorted pastries looked amazing, but why dilute the flavor of the great coffee... Did I say I like the coffee?

We went to the cafe on Abbot Kinney. Seriously the coffee is to die for! There is often a long line, but it's worth it.

Where can you enjoy real coffee in the US? Only at Intelligentsia. The queue is long but worth the wait. The building is sparse and the seating could be improved but need their coffee. Stella

If you're a serious coffee drinker, you can't miss Itenlligentsia. Located in the heart of Abbot Kinney (hands down the best part of Venice beach) this is the best coffee. The minute you walk in you can tell they take their coffee very seriously. I live about 25 miles away so I don't get out to Venice beach too often.... More

I met my college friend at this place for a coffee. It was recommended by him. . I liked the store, very hip and nice modern architecture. Coffee was OK.

I stood for 10 bemused minutes in a club-like queue in the entrance, waiting to enter to order a... coffee. After seeing how slow and uninspired the barista was stumbling through his orders I left and went down the road. What a dysfunctional cafe.

My brother said "This is the second best coffee shop in LA"...so, of course, I'm game to try it. Parking is horrendous and nearly impossible on a Saturday. There was a decent line and crowd in the place, which I really don't mind if I'm about to drink a great cup of coffee. The bathroom in there is absolutely vile,... More

We waited in line for 15 minutes on a cool December Sunday. I absolutely love the layout of this coffee bar. There are really cool seats outside - almost big blocks of smooth wood stacked casually on top of each other, creating some multi-tiered seating for coffee sippers. Inside is cool too, it looks like a mad scientist's coffee labratory!... More

The American habit of queuing for the "best coffee on the block" bemuses me as it is so unnecessary in the coffee culture of my home town (there's always that new place across the road). Still, it was a sunny Sunday morning with no rush or place to be, so I joined the hipsters on Abbott Kinney to see what... More

This place was recommended to us by my cousin who is a big foodie. It did not disappoint us. They use the V60 brewing method, which is slow but produces excellent results. The breakfast items (muffins, croissants, etc.) are also very good. The prices were pretty high but the coffee and food were good.
