Good beer and food

Downtown LA is not exactly full of civilized places to eat well and drink good beer (the list is incredible!), but here is one – worth checking out. Busy at the weekends though!

We went there prior to visiting a basketball game at the Staples Center. Good food and a very nice atmosphere. Be in time if there is any event nearby, as it can be crowded and may take over 30 minutes to be seated.

Our teenage daughters loved this restaurant as it was buzzing with people and atmosphere. The menu was varied and prices pretty reasonable.

In summary: big, lively upscale chain restaurant at L.A. Live with an extensive beer list and a food menu with a lot of variety. Beer was delicious, food was good, and we had great service from Laura F. I was initially disappointed when our waitress changed shifts shortly after we were seated, but our new server Laura was enthusiastic, attentive,... More

We were staying at the J. W. Marriott for The Grammy Awards and found the Yard House because of Trip Advisor. The menu was varied and the atmosphere fun. Our server was very helpful and the shrimp ceviche was terrific. Would definitely recommend.

Blew into LA late on a Sunday night and was thrilled to find Yard House not only open but bustling. Server was good if a little overwhelmed. Wings and salads did not disappoint .

We for lunch yesterday with a friend. We both had the lunch special of 1/2 pastrami sandwich and salad. It was delicious. The pastrami was grilled so it had a little crisiness on the edges and it was full of flavor. The salad was fresh and also very good. We also had desserts. I had the mini chocolate suffle and... I also had a ahi tuna salad that was awesome, but everything I ate on this trip was somehow dwarfed by their tortilla soup. It is the stuff dreams are made of. For real.
