visited this place for breakfast on our last visit. Lovely pancakes, great service and casual friendly atmosphere. Very busy place even on a Monday at 9am. Staff was calm and did not make us feel rushed. Certainly worth a visit - altho parking is limited so we walked from our hotel across from USC.

We are looking for new places to try since moving to Los Angeles. Cute place. We arrives shortly after opening on a Saturday morning. They seem to stagger seat so even though there were tables available, we waiting about 10 minutes. I assume this helps provide good service once you get to the table. Once seated, our service was very... More

Returned for their light pineapple, coconut pancakes - not too sweet with subtle pineapple puree. So ONO! The first trip 3 of us shared entrees but this time I kept all to myself. The waiter was attentive and helpful when I asked for additional super well done cooking of my Portuguese sausage - they were perfect! My friend had an... More

Jacks N Joe! I love this place. We visited there with a friend from the LA area. We loved the vibe as we entered. People were friendly. We ordered the Dakine French Toast combo. Oh my goodness!! The french toast was amazing - and I don't normally eat french toast. I ordered the bacon instead of the sausage which worked... More

My family and I ate at Jacks N Joe while visiting our daughter at USC. The restaurant is located about a half mile from the school and was very crowded on. Sunday morning. We waited about 30 minutes before being seated. The menu for breakfast consists of a large selection of various pancakes. I went for the standard sourdough and... More

Awesome service and great food! Get there early because this place is extremely popular!! There a few “hidden” items on the menu like the BURRITO! Just ask them and they will tell you about it :)

As other reviewers have mentioned, this place gets crowded fast. We arrived 8:30 am on Sunday and got the last 3 available seats arond the "counter bar" which meant sitting up high on bar stools. If we wanted a regular table and chairs, thus affording more privacy, it meant waiting another 20-25 minutes. By the time we finished at 9:30... More

Food was amazing. There was a long wait to be seated, but I think it was definitely worth it! We need one in San Diego!

Although we had to wait, it wasn't long on a saturday morning. There were 5 of us and everyone had something different - stuffed french toast, crepes, bananas foster pancakes, eggs, omeletes, fruit filled 'Jacks". So good 3 in our party had 2 entrees each. Carried us through the day. Total Yum!

Such a cool place with great service and GREAT food. A nice twist on breakfast. I had the WTF?! YUMMY pancakes. This place reminds me of a "Cheers" it has the everyone knows your name and you're extended family feel. Read the story of the restaurant and you will feel even better about patronizing it. I've been a total of... More
