We stayed in downtown LA and wanted breakfast. I read a lot about this place so we went to check it out at like 9:30am on a weekday. I was surprised to find a half hour wait. We waited because we thought it must be good given the popularity. The restaurant was super cramped and there was really no "waiting... More

Took our USC son here on a Sunday morning. We waited about an hour to be seated. Once in, it was great; everything you want a breakfast place to be. We didn't mind the wait since we don't see our son often during the school year, but be prepared to sit outside a long time. We got there at 10:15am;... More

I went to USC and i felt in love with this place. During the weekend it may take a considerable amount of time to get a table but if you have the possibility of waiting an half an hour or sometimes more you will not have any regrets. If you go during the week days it will be much easier... More

The service is always great here. But come when the restaurant opens on the wknds to get a seat without waiting. It gets very busy. The pancakes and eggs are great. Haven't had much else. Coffee is not as good or strong as even Starbucks (probably a medium roast), but it's passable if you want a good breakfast and friendly... More

Wow - found this on online and glad I went. Staff is very friendly, food is great and there are a lot of options, and decor is interesting and modern. It's a little hard to find, it's in the back of a little parking lot / shopping center, just a heads up. Don't even think of the chain places, just... More

We enjoyed breakfast here twice with our son as he is a student at USC. The generous portions certainly satisfied his appetite! We tried omelets, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. Each selection was delicious. The waitstaff is friendly. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and welcoming. The next time we visit our always hungry college boy, we'll return to Jacks N Joe!... More

Their pancakes were amazing (chocolate chip)..very soft..the potatoes were average..we also got the veggie omlet which was reasonably good. The only issue is parking..it is somewhat understandable considering its LA, but something to keep in mind.

I've been here a few times. I make sure that when I'm in L.A. I pay JNJ a visit. The Jack's Banana Pancakes are my favorite, but I think it's all good. I don't think the prices are too high, specially for L.A. The place is always busy, but it's worth the wait. The only down side of it is... More

I had the Ruby Belle pancakes and my boyfriend had a combo and upgrade his pancakes the the Elvis ones and it was all really delicious. The potatoes that came with the combo didn't LOOK great but were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The wait was a bit long (were told 45 minutes tops and was almost an hour) and... More
