Been to Ray's & Stark restaurant and bar at LACMA many times. Each place, the restaurant and the bar area are both excellent!! The last two times, I've been sitting out in the open air bar area having 5 piece hors d'oeuvres and wine or the 5 piece cheese board. Both were great and I have told several people about... More

Rays is a favorite whenever we head to LACMA. They specialize in farm-to-table and seasonal food, and have a deliciously inventive menu. Warm, fresh bread starts off your meal, and they have an extensive water menu, with a large selection of different sparkling waters. The food itself is absolutely delicious, and definitely worth the price tag. Great location, great people... More

I don't usually eat in hotel restaurants or museum cafes unless absolutely necessary but having spent a long morning at LACMA and having read about Ray's in my guidebook, I decided to try it out. I did not regret it and would gladly go back. I can't say anything about their dinner menu since I had lunch only. And what... More

Lovely place to sit and rest, nice to have some lunch options. Prices were high, and I had the cobb salad, which was fresh, but overdone with cheese and garbanzos. Service was great.

We live in the LACMA neighborhood but don't get over there often enough. Today we did and enjoyed a fine art exhibit. Then we decided to take a break at Ray's. We are glad we did. It features a smallish menu with nonetheless a fairly wide set of offerings. We enjoyed the very nice Hamachi and a very satisfactory Grilled... More

We have eaten here several times, because it is the only restaurant available on the lovely plaza at LACMS. The convenience seems to be what you pay for. Here they have succeeded in raising their prices and reducing the portions. This time we were a party of 7. One of us had 2 scallops for 29$ floating in a sort... More

Went to enjoy Friday night Jazz at LACMA and had dinner. I could write something witty or creative, but let's be serious. The food was great. Had the spaghetti. Fresh and delicious. The dessert was one word. Chocolate. And that it was. Amazing. Service was timely and friendly. Food was great. Everything you could want from a restaurant. And I... More

Located at the LACMA is a very pleasant option and worth visiting even if you do not plan to go to the exhibition. We had lunch, the atmosphere is very nice, service good and food well prepared and interesting. do include it in your visit. One warning only, service is not very fast so plan ahead... let us mention the... More

It is great to take a break and enjoy really nice food in an inviting restaurant and vibrant space without having to leave the museum. We enjoyed splitting the sage pizza and the foraged salad -- both were very good quality -- but with a glass of wine each the bill came to $65, which seemed a bit pricey for... More

It's so nice that museums in the USA are now making sure that there is good food available on site! Rays & Stark Bar have lots of delicious items on the menu, so dig in! On a recent visit, I enjoyed the butter lettuces salad and the sage pizza (split with a friend!). The pizza was good, but the salad... More
