Description: In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones....
In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio over-looking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place, either up the coast or down, to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or a sunset. Over the last 40 years Gladstones has become a South California landmark. One visit and you'll see why.

Good seafood right on the beach!

Incredible location, good service, and tasty fish. Had a piece of salmon that was perfectly prepared. Its a pretty loud place - so, I did not find it relaxing but I did enjoy the meal.

I try to fit in a Gladstone dinner at sunset, whenever I visit my son in LA. The food is actually good but the high price makes you expect something more. The something more is the view of the Pacific at sunset. You can just come for a couple beers and eat their free peanuts and throw the shells on... More

Right on the beach at the end of Sunset Blvd, in Pacific Palisades (not Malibu) the view is unbelievably spectacular. The parking is plentiful and the valet is very polite. There's great indoor tables and outdoor seating (protected by plexiglas from the often chilly breezes). The signature drinks are quite good but at $13 apiece, they better be. It took... More

Whenever we're in town, visiting family we try to come to Gladstones. This time around I was somewhat disappointed. The kitchen was dirty, the doors entering the men's and ladies room were so filthy I had to wash my hands before using he facilities. It's such a little thing that turns people off from returning to a very famous restaurant.... More

We walked Sunset Blvd. from downtown to the Pacific Coast Highway. Did it in 4 partial days of walking. So by day 4 we had Gladstones in our sights from way up on Sunset Blvd! The sun had set and we could not wait to celebrate our accomplishment with drinks at Gladstones. It did not disappoint! The bartender was great... More

Not fancy by any stretch, but located right ON the beach in Malibu. Great meals that are BIG and flavorful.

Had a great time here. The seafood platter was amazing and well worth the price! The views are stunning! We will be back for sure.

We were informed that for great seafood, we should visit Gladstones. It was everything that was promised. Their catch of the day specials were plentiful and the New England Clam Chowder was perfect. The restaurant is right on the coast where many people park on the side, but their valet service remedied this problem. The valet service was also reasonably... More

Oceanside dining al fresco! Lobster rolls to die for! Yummy omelets! Valet Parking! Great place for Sunday brunch and conversation followed by a leisurely stroll on the beach.
