Description: In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio over-looking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place, either up the coast or down, to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or a sunset. Over the last 40 years Gladstones has become a South California landmark. One visit and you'll see why.

Gladstones is a casual eatery right by the ocean on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. I ate here a few times when I was last in town this summer, and the impression I was left with was double-edged : good food, but service needs to be improved. I only ever ate lunch here, and the place was busy and... More

The place has a really nice view. However, I find it to be too expensive. I liked the fact that there was a photographer taking pictures... A very nice souvenir.

I always make a point of visiting Gladstones when in SoCal. What can I say? Right on the beach in Malibu on the PCH sitting at a table that literally is on a deck above the sand. If the atmosphere wasn't enough the food and drinks will cinch the deal! They are known for their Bloody Mary and it does... More

The location is excellent and so was the service. Food is very good, the fish tacos are fried and a very good size portion. Alaskan Salmon was fresh. Would go back.

Well, Gladstone's is indeed an LA landmark and it is in Malibu. That is why people go there..... the view/atmosphere/vibe are fantastic, hip, casual, beachy. On my particular visit, however, the food was less than grand. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder ($12) that was just OK. On par with a canned clam chowder I would buy in the... More

Wow, what a place!! The view was absolutely phenomenal sitting right on the beach with open air seating overlooking the ocean and right off the Pacific Coast Highway. I went there for brunch, so many good choices on the menu. Ended up with the Red King Crab benedict topped with caviar. OUTSTANDING!! I asked my waiter for recommendations and he... More

Overall a positive experience you can't beat the view and the great LA vibe, but the prices are rather expensive. The food arrived after a long wait, all four servings of $25.00 fish and chips were almost cold. The food was still OK, but would have been much better piping hot. I have dined here before and this was not... More

It's been years since I've been to Gladstone's. We decided to try it out again and were so pleasantly surprised by the top notch service and food. We shared the shrimp cocktail, jumbo shrimp with great taste, and the crab cakes, not bad but have had better. The swordfish was perfectly grilled and delicious. As for the chocolate cake for...
