Description: In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones...
In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio over-looking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place, either up the coast or down, to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or a sunset. Over the last 40 years Gladstones has become a South California landmark. One visit and you'll see why.

Tasty Meal & Incredible View!

Visited Gladstones with my husband while visiting LA on Saturday 4/11/15. We made our reservation through OpenTable. Food was decent. Nothing amazing. I had the fish and chips. They were fine. I don't know why I order fish and chips it's rare thing to get great chips. We had a larger party and had a variety of dishes. I heard good things about the ciopino. The steak looked pretty good. What makes the place is the ocean... More

Having arrived earlier that day from Australia we were on a mission to see as much as possible before boarding our flight home to florida the following day. I had been to this restaurant years ago and the location can't be beat. My husband and daughter agreed! They loved the location immediately. We didn't mind the fee for valet parking... More

We made a reservation online. Valet Parking was $7, or self parking is $11. Our friend didn't show so we had a lighter meal. Ordered clam chowder, mac n cheese and pasta with butter (guess we are not seafood lovers). It's bread on request, but it's worth it. We smartly added bacon to the pasta, which was delicious. Soup was... More

It's pretty difficult to beat this restaurant in terms of location. You're literally right on the beach with plentiful outside tables available to enjoy the amazing views and wonderful Southern California climate. The food was excellent. I had a very innovative Nicoise Salad, my niece had a fantastic shrimp appetizer with eight jumbo shrimp, and my wife had an excellent... More

The things that made Gladstones in Malibu fun are gone. Due to folks with peanut allergies, they no longer offer peanuts, whose shells used to cover the floor of the restaurant. Service was friendly, but not very good. The decor is more casual than ever. Many booths have been removes and bare tables have taken their place. My wife and... More

We have visited this restaurant once before several years ago & had pleasant memories so thought we'd try it again while we were in the area. We visited here for a late lunch midweek & had excellent meals, along with excellent service. Our waiter (Alejandro) could not have been better, available to assist us in our menu choices and ready... More

Went here with my family for dinner, specifically with seafood in mind. We were delighted with everything--the food, the service, the atmosphere. The crab cakes were some of the best that I have ever had anywhere in the U.S., though expensive. We had the clam bake, and it was excellent, too, and a lot of fun. Our server was great--very... We had dinner here recently and we were fortunate enough to have James as our server. We could have been at a 5 Star establishment in New York. Great service, great view and great food. Cant wait to go back!

The food is not good. It's not bad but far from being good. I got a nice huge plate with sea food but it was less the avarge. Sea food can't be dry! Will not come back. Sorry.
