Description: In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstones. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio over-looking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place, either up the coast or down, to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or a sunset. Over the last 40 years Gladstones has become a South California landmark. One visit and you'll see why.

It's an iconic restaurant in an idyllic location. But it's outrageously expensive for the quality of the food. It's okay food, but you go for the location. Worth a visit if you're a tourist.

We go to Gladstones for fish, but if you have a sweet tooth, don't miss the Monkey Bread. Basically a cinnamon roll, but one of the best we've had. Clam chowder is excellent as can be expected and the ocean view is world class. Lots of fun staff interaction and friendly beach/ surfer vibe.

the calamari was like rubber, the $25 dollar salad was nothing special at all. The view was incredible, we had a calamari, shared tuna salad and a cup 6oz cup of clam chowder each plus each had a draft beer, the bill was $78 before the tip plus $7 to park We won't be back

Seated outside on the open air deck very quickly with no reservation. Excellent food and service. Entertaining waiter. Good for families. Good value.

Looking for the ultimate California experience? You can't go wrong here. Sits on a very pretty beach you can walk on and the food is awesome. Great service and attention to details. Went there with party of 5 and we all enjoyed it.

We currently live in Dallas, but visit California often for business and family. We make a point to go to Gladstones on PCH whenever possible. We visited on New Year's day 2015 and again weren't disappointed. The outdoor patio is the best and the ocean view wonderful. Our server, Jake, was so nice, cocktail specials were good and the Clam... More

Hard to complain about the view - on the water in Malibu. Friendly, efficient service. Nice menu choices. Fair prices, generous servings. Plenty of beverage options. Adjoining valet parking $7. Looking forward to a return visit next time we are in the area.

After years of hearing about Gladstones we decided it was time to try it ourselves. First, Barrett, our server, was a delight. He was an excellent server and laughed and smiled the entire time. My lobster roll reminded me of the ones I had in the Northeast and my husband said his fish and chips were excellent. Of course, the... More

Gladstones is a casual eatery right by the ocean on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. I ate here a few times when I was last in town this summer, and the impression I was left with was double-edged : good food, but service needs to be improved. I only ever ate lunch here, and the place was busy and... More

The place has a really nice view. However, I find it to be too expensive. I liked the fact that there was a photographer taking pictures... A very nice souvenir.
