Located about a block from the Pantages Theater, this was our great choice prior to performance. The restaurant opens at 6. Do not come early unless the bar upstairs is open. Everything is Tapas style. We tried a variety of dishes. Our favorites were the smoked, grilled octopus, cauliflower, lamb in grilled and minced variety, beets, cheese. Ok, everything was... More

This is a nice restaurant with good food, friendly staff and a nice vibe. My girlfriend and I showed up without a reservation - no problem. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We most definitely did.

Mediterranean cuisine meant to be shared. Hummus, grilled octopus, lamb sliders and chicken tagine were excellent. House-made flatbread was delish. A warm apple tart was the finishing touch. Excellent food and attentive service. Very enjoyable meal in cozy surroundings. Reasonably priced.

Great food; we just ordered small plates and each one was better than the last one. Paired with their cocktails, and we could have stayed awhile longer. Within walking distance to many other attractions. Highly recommend stopping in before or after the play at the Pantages.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. The decor is Hollywood and the food is delicious. It is new mediterranean cuisine and is located in a hip chic hotel. This is a must restaurant for out of towers visiting and if you want a Hollywood scene. I tend to eat later than most Angelenos and arrive between 830PM-900PM. Now to the... More

Absolutely order the brussel sprouts - almost like potato crisps - as each leaf is individually cooked. The greek salad was delicious and the mushroom flatbread was tasty. The server was mindful of our need to get to the theater on time.

Interesting turkish vibe and decor. Lots of young people and well dressed others. Good looking staff as would be expected from a restaurant on Hollywood blvd. Food was pretty good. Excellent brussel sprouts, cauliflower, mushrooms, and tomato burrata salad (in that order, would order again!). The oxtail bone marrow didn't have as much gamey flavour as I would have expected... A nice 10-minute walk from the heart of Hollywood Boulevard, Cleo was a surprising gem in the area. We made reservations for dinner and were seated near the entrance after a short wait. The service was very attentive. We had the brussel sprouts, mushrooms, tomato and burrata salad, cauliflower - all were amazing. We also had the eggplant lebaneh and... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
