my party of four arrived a little early for our 6pm reservation, so we headed upstairs to The Library bar... a very cool spot, right on Hollywood & Vine yet secluded and airy. Would be great for a party (note to self). While Cleo had been completely empty just minutes before, by the time we were seated the place was... More

I've been here a dozen or so times in the past year and every time is amazing. The food is consistently good and they have a great vibe going on. Downside is that it's super popular and - even with a reservation - you may need to wait an extra 30 minutes or more for a table. No worries --... More

I had dinner reservations for a Friday evening. Located in a hotel my senses were mesmerized by the aroma of the kitchen. We were seated asap and my friendly waitress took my order for a glass of red wine. I than placed my order for my tapas, this is what we ordered: The hummus and tahini served with bread baked... Stumbled upon this Mediterranean tapas dream on our first and last trip to LA. What a treat. The feta yogurt style dip with their amazing bread served in a greasy paper bag is an absolute MUST. The Brussel sprouts where a hit and the ravioli was delicious. We ordered 5 dishes, including dessert, between the 2 of us and it was... More

I know better to expect a great meal on Valentine's Day but this exceeded my low expectations. Poor service, overly sweet drinks, lukewarm food, and an already expensive prix fixe with a mandatory (and totally undeserved) 20% gratuity. What a joke. The location in Vegas was amazing and this was amazingly disappointing. Ugh.

Cleo Restaurant.... it has so many great things a can think of... I've been twice this month and that helped me validate what a good restaurant this is. It is important to say that the food is more on the southern italian and greek style. The plates are served in a middle easter or tapas fashion and the flavours are... More

My sister-in-law, niece, and I had a pre-Pantages theater dinner at Cleo on a recent Saturday night. We had made an early reservation (6 p.m. for an 8 p.m. show) because we had heard that service could be slow. However, we had prompt and courteous service from all waitstaff. We ordered the recommended Brussels sprouts plus the chicken tagine, artichoke... More

Once you get past the bored hostess greeting you, you're in for a treat. Our waiter was fun and friendly. He took the time to explain his favorite dishes to us and made some recommendations on what to start with. We had 8 items on the menu (flatbread, chicken tajine, lamb kabob along with a few other dishes). Everything was... More

The waitstaff was excellent! The food, although very good, was average for this caliber of restaurant. Not bad. Just not very memorable...

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
