Lucky to have gotten in without the usual line!

So well done, competes with anyplace i have been in quality and style. Simple menu offering a range that can't be beat, offering th best and nothing less than there best! the rice is the way rice is supposed to be done. Light warm and delicate, not hot dogs of rice with fish on top.

In my top 2 of best sushi I've eaten outside of Japan. The quality is just melt in your mouth awesomeness. No sauces needed here. The location is a little tough because there's a lot of construction going on and it is DTLA, but I'd say well worth the $7 parking for checking this place out.

We went (several times) to the La brea location. No reservation but the wait (on a week day) was OK. Choices are limited and their set menus are good values. Overall the food is pretty good although not exceptional. Service was quick and efficient, in fact a bit too much so, as you are made to feel that you have... More

A great restaurant with amazing food. The Nozawa is a must. They don't take reservations so keep the party to two people unless you want to wait over an hour. If I could put this place in my house, I would. Amazing service. Wonderful all around. Make sure to get the Nozawa Trust Me plate!

Went with some old friends and we all decided to go with the Trust Me Lite set menu just to be on the safe side, and we were so glad with our selections. Not only was the serving size excellent, all type of fishes were very fresh and delicious. The service was also really good - our waiter at the... More

Fixed specials on menu based on quantity and price. Served in slow sequence. Stark interiors and limited seating. A la Carte items much more expensive than standard assortments.

I ordered the "Trust Me" dinner. I enjoyed getting multiple small plates throughout dinner. The fish tasted very fresh. The seaweed wrap on the handrolls was amazing. I normally don't care for handrolls but their's I would for sure order again next time.

Know what you are getting into - this is a SUSHI place! They do not have any non-sushi options on the menu, no desert, no frills, no nothing. This is like heaven for the hard-core sushi lover. You can order a la carte but that's rare and hardly anyone does, just stick to the pre-set options: Trust Me, Trust Me-lite,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
