Seemed we were lucky with our timing Arrived at around 11am on sunday and only had to wait a few minutes for a table. When we left the line for tables was quite long. Lobster hash was amazing- great flavour and texture. Must try to find smoky paprika at home to add to my hollandaise sauce. Beignets light and delicious.... More

We stopped here for a quick breakfast of pastries and coffees. Honestly. for such a high-end looking Italian bakery/restaurant, I was disappointed by the limited and "usual" selection of breakfast pastries. They were fine, but did not match my expectations. My cappuccino was delicious. Notice, there is no waitress service for pastries and drinks only, but there are tables. You... More

We had a very late dinner here thanks to airline delays last week. At 10 pm, the place was not too noisy or crowded, and service was excellent. We split a pizza, half buratta and half artichoke. We also had a side order of brussels sprouts with pistachio. The pizza was very good and the sprouts were tasty, but could... More

From the service to the food this place was just all around excellent. The hostess came outside and mentioned the free parking on the next street so I wouldn't need to use the meter which gave her serious kudos in my book but staff removed the food was also superb. Romantic atmosphere, lovely service, perfect date night.

Downtown LA is not like other major cities in the US. The downtown area has been struggling for years to become trendy and populous. That said, there are a few restaurants that have managed to capture the essence of the LA downtown spirit, and bottega louie is one of them. It is very trendy looking, but no reservations taken, so... More

I expected so much more from breakfast at this beautiful brasserie in newly chic Downtown LA. Good coffee, friendly service and fresh juice boded well. But, minuscule, flavorless quiche (with one sprig of frisee) and very strange turkey sausage that reminded me of a 1970's European frankfurter left me cold. This was followed by hard-on-the-outside/soggy-in-the middle French toast. And I... More

Great Caprese salad. I love their iced tea because it comes with a lime, lemon & an orange wedge (all iced tea should come with orange instead of lemon!!) as well as a simple syrup- that I don't use but I adore the concept. The meatball sliders are really good but I only get them if I have someone with... More

I rarely send food back or write a review but I have to warn people that the food here is not good and the place is incredibly LOUD. If you have low expectations or enjoy a mediocre meal and overall disappointing experience then by all means come here. There are just so many better options for pizza, pastries and a... More

We had an excellent experience - open late on a Sunday evening, festive crowd, beautiful restaurant, great service and delicious food. What's not to like? Hip enough for the teenagers in our party, but not too outlandish for the oldsters. Can't wait to return next time we're in L.A.

Ummm I had the Lobster Hash and we shared Pizza and Pancakes... Everything was FANTASTIC. Bring a friend, you'll need the help, we didn't get into the cakes, macaroons and pastries but they also looked amazing. If your not thinking price? It's a fun place to spend hours and hours in. Good atmosphere too...
