Beignets served hot and freshly made with raspberry compote sauce. We were in downtown LA for a convention and just stumbled on this place while looking for an evening cup of coffee when many places were closing. Initially, I thought the $10 price for a plate of for beignets was a bit steep, but we enjoyed them so much that... More

We stopped by to try the macaroons as recommended by friends- wonderful selection and tasted great- pricey at $2.50 each but a great splurge. Did not get the chance to eat dinner or lunch but smelled wonderful

From entering the door you know you are in a happening place in downtown Los Angeles. You are met with sights, sounds, and a wonderful smell of great food. The market part of the the restaurant is filled with goodies you can't pass up. The wine you can purchase there is on the top of everyone's wine list! The bar... More

I wished I had time to eat a meal here, but alas I was only stopping for a few delicious pastries. I got an amazing vanilla latte and a variety of treats, including a raspberry macaroon that made my eyes roll it was so delicious. There is a variety of grab-and-go type snacks and drinks as well if you want... More

The two of us went to the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday at about 12:15. The place was busy, but we were seated immediately. The first thing we discovered is that they serve a brunch menu on Saturday until 3:00 p.m., when they switch over to their lunch menu. The brunch menu tends to be what you might expect,... More

We were travelling in California and had a meal at Louie during the few days we spent in LA. The restaurant is stunning-very large and open with a high ceiling-but as others have said, can be noisy. We were there at probably the busiest point on a Saturday evening and the noise did not detract from our experience. The service... More

This is so not a "bottega". It is a fancy, airy, well appointed restaurant, cafe, and bar. We stopped here to look at the multi-colored macaroons, and stayed for a snack. My son chose a $10.00 Petite La Dome. The thing is: the wait staff was impeccable. They were great about answering our questions, and even knew the ingredients of... More

This downtown LA eatery has impeccable wait staff who leads you to yummy food choices. It's Italian and every meal I've had here has been good. I have been for weekend brunch, weekday lunch and late Friday night dinner. Every visit has been consistence. The only negative is it's very loud so if you can't deal with loud noise then... More
