A great restaurant with a true Italian flare

I love Botteta Louie, for me it's the perfect blend of great food and ambiance. This restaurant is located at Grand and 7th Street in Los Angeles. This is an excellent place to know visiting Downtown Los Angeles. The is a place for every occasion the restaurant is superb although a bit expensive, what unique in the place is the you can enjoy it for just buying from the specialty breads, cakes and sandwiches to go as well as Italian delicatessens. Or just spend time by the... More

One cannot enter Bottega Louie without passing the phenomenal dessert area. Didn't sample, because by the time we finished eating desserts were just about sold out! This is a very busy place that doesn't take reservations, but well worth the wait. The food is freshly prepared in an open kitchen, so one can watch chefs and wait staff at work... More

We celebrated a birthday, but you dont need a reason to come to this large, welcoming and reasonable restaurant (Previously had a quick lunch there -- the pizzas were great.) The menu is sumptuous and varied, with accommodating sizes. small to large. We found the salads and soups particularly good and the deserts, not necessarily to kill for, but certainly... More

Came here with some friends to have Sunday brunch... Heard that this was the most "checked-in" place on Yelp ... Wanted to know what the hype was ... Nothing spectacular service was mediocre... Food was expensive for what it was ... Presentation was pretty

We decided to go in to buy a couple of cakes/deserts, WOW, we must have spent close to 30 minutes trying to decide on only 2 choices. The staff were very helpful and thankfully knowledgeable. The 2 downsides are the vast choices and the prices, but I suppose you do get what you pay for.

This spot is big, over the top and quite interesting. It's a mixture of bakery, gift shop, gourmet shop, bar and sit down restaurant. Our plan was to have eat in the dining room but were told the wait was an hour and a half (they don't take reservations) but we found out you could order from the full menu... More

Friends had recommended this place; New Year's resolution was to try it. I was not disappointed. The server made some awesome suggestions including the must try mushroom fries( skip the diet to try them). She also recommended their carbonara pasta( loved the fresh ingredients) YUMMY........ My complements to the barista as well; I enjoyed their latte. The only minor mishap... More

My first time eating here was a year ago and came back last week to treat out my sisters. The wait time on a Saturday night was not bad at all, an hour. I love the candles on the table and high ceiling in the restaurant. Although it was crowded and noisy, we still had a great time. Some of... More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
