If you don't eat meat then you won't like Animal. I found it excellent. The restaurant was the venue for a family wedding so the food was delivered to the table in share fashion.. The selection included, waygu carpaccio, seared tuna, fried pigs ear (my favorite), lamb shank ragu, pork spare ribs and this is what I can remember. I... More

This was one of the best meals we had in three weeks in California - it is incredible inventive and delicious food. I am still dreaming about the corn! Service also excellent.

Animal has a big reputation and it is well deserved. Incredibly inventive food, they use all of the animal to create their dishes. Service was very friendly and informative and had a great vibe. I had the Pig Ears and it was amazing. Followed by delicious soft shell crab and an amazing chocolate/bacon dessert.

Three of us ate here early evening of September 2nd . I suppose it's the cool thing not to have a sign up outside, but it just makes it more difficult to find. The wife was looking forward to it after seeing the restaurant on Diners, Drive-in's & Dives. Nice layout inside but noisy. Service was excellent. Fast. Food mostly... More

Ate here last week and it was amazing! The waiter knew his stuff and guided us on the menu and wine, making some great choices for us. We had the hamachi tosada, white nectarine salad, bone marrow, ribs, pigs ears and two of the desserts. When you go you MUST order the hamachi tosada, bone marrow & pigs ears!! If... More

I went here for an anniversary dinner. We were deciding between Animal and Ink, but opted for Animal because it was more casual and I didn't want to get dressed up. We made reservations for 6pm, which is what time they open, so don't bother getting there any earlier or you'll be waiting on the sidewalk. Luckily, there's a pretty... More

I've wanted to go for such a long time, and finally got the chance on my last visit to LA. I thought how could they possibly live up to their rep? Absolutely brilliant food, but the wall of sound took it down one notch. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened, snagged a table with no reservation and the place... More

Recently went here with my son and his fiancee for dinner. Reservations were promptly honored and the menus brought with explanations given by a delightful young woman named Vanessa. The menu is eclectic and the intent of the restaurant is to share many of the items amongst the diners. As the name suggests, vegetarians need not apply! Each portion is... More

food was average, price was very high for what you got (we ordered a lamb dish that was supposed to be for 2, for $41, that was tiny & subpar!!!), the service staff was stuck up and not helpful, this place is super overrated, will not be coming back...

This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants! The food, ambiance, and customer service is great. My favorite dish there is the bone marrow. It's sooo yummy, along with all the great food! My fiance and I love coming here for date night. :)
