Nice choice

We went one night, two couples. It´s cozy, the service is polite, the food is very good. From maitre to servers, everybody are very warm and welcome you with a smile in their face. Worth a visit.

Dropped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. We were seated right away. The restaurant is nicely appointed and well located. The food was delicious. The service was OK, but nothing exemplary.

A thousand points for ambiance alone, seriously. This is the kind of place you take a picture of with your VSCO app and get a million likes with. It was the perfect end to our day with drinks and desserts. At the time, they were offering a pomegranate and apple sorbet coup which was basically fall/winter in a dessert. It... More

I had some friends visiting from Sweden, and decided to try this fairly new restaurant. Let's start with the decor and ambience. We booked the "atrium", which was a beautiful place. The sage colors of the walls felt like we were in somebody's elegant home. As the place got more filled up through the evening, the acoustic level was still... More

The skinny: Parking- street or valet Decor- elegant Restroom- shared sink area Service- slow Food- excellent I have been wanting to go here ever since I read a review of their flaky almond croissant. We had lunch and it was pretty busy but we were seated quickly. After being seated we waited a long time for our order to be... More

Seven girlfriends shared a holiday lunch at Tavern in mid-December. It was absolutely delightful! We shared the cheese plate and had lots of salads- some chopped with Apple-Smoked bacon, and some with vegetables. Our waiter was wonderful- he kept pouring wine and was very attentive. We sat in the middle of the "tented" sunken, dining room, in the back, under... More

We met friends at the Tavern on the edge of Brentwood in LA. It was a fixed price menu with the choice of turkey or vegetarian for there main course. I started with my usual but very good Manhattan. My wife had the Lucques Gimlet and she said it was great. We started with a persimmon & pomegranate salad with... More

This was our second dinner at Tavern in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles and, like the first, it was excellent in every way. My wife had the salmon and I had their short ribs....both were very tasty and beautifully presented. By the way, we noticed on both visits that their bread was delicious --- don't fill up on it... Tavern is a beautiful restaurant. It would make a good first date location. Especially the atrium. It has two living trees sprouting up from the center. Very cool. Service was also excellent. My water glass was topped off repeatedly throughout the night. The best thing I ate there was my appetizer: bacon-wrapped dates with a hint of Parmesan. It was... More

Had a long layover at LAX, so we rented a car, did some shopping, and had an early dinner (6:00) at Tavern. What a great decision! The carpark is behind the restaurant on Darlington Ave, well lit and attended so I was comfortable leaving a bag in the car. We were seated immediately, obviously not full at 6 even on... More
