Great Steaks for CA, but we are from Texas!

Yes, the steaks are good. But not to die for, the savory meat that we are used to in Texas. I ordered a bone in filet and it was $54 - so I had high expectations. Yes, it was good. But just good. My salad was good too. The wine was good - for the bottle was $250. So would... read more

The "House" is the Ribeye. Fabulous piece of meat prepared properly. Mark was our waiter and did a best of class job. I asked for a "well marbled" steak and Mark participated in it's selection. Very nicely done.

We were in town for several days and decided to stay at the Westin. On our third night we decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm a big foodie person and I've experienced great restaurants around the world. My wife and I love a good steak and this restaurant didn't disappoint us. On Thursday, we made reservations for 9:30PM.... More

The chicken was very average and bit small on the serving size. The waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. Good Beer selection and a good selection of West Coast wines.

I don't know how many revolving restaurants I have been to but they all have poor quality food. Chicken sandwich sounded good on the menu but was utterly dry, on dry ciabatta with guacamole out of a bag and no salad or any side. At $17 I expect a LOT better than that. No wonder the place was 90% empty.

Great view and fancy setting. Food is good, but nothing really special vs any good steakhouse. For that price, you can go to the best chef's in LA. They should either reprice or step up.

Came here for a quick late night dinner before a long week for a trade show. Sal was my server and he was fantastic! What I would expect to find at a five star restaurant. Pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. I originally order the chicken fajita sandwich minus the guacamole but he was concerned that the dish might not be as... More

My husband and I treated ourselves to Valentine's Day Dinner at LA Prime. The restaurant is on the 35th floor of the red tower in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. We were seated by the window and enjoyed a spectacular sunset view of LA. The Pre-Fixe dinner was excellent as was the service. All of the women were handed a long... More

Great views from the top floor of the hotel and the service was great. The entrees we ordered were well executed.

Portions were large. Tuna tartare was average at best but the crab cakes were very good. Steak was ok.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
