Spotted Chalet Edelweiss in Westchester where we could park for free in back and have a cold drink before heading to LAX to pick up an arriving passenger. Enjoyed a cold German beer and large pretzel on the patio (a little noisy due to traffic on Sepulveda). Also, some delicious soup. Will return for a complete meal when we have... More

This restaurant at the corner of Sepulveda and La Tijera serves German food (schnitzel), Swiss (fondue) and also pizza. The menu is quite eclectic. The service was prompt and friendly, the food was quite good, prices reasonable. The server suggested jäger schnitzel and it was delicious. It came with spätzli and red cabbage salad.

Stopped by this restaurant on Sepulveda Blvd during a break in my conference. Interesting Tyrolean decor; friendly, attentive waitress. Had the barley beef soup and wurst salad, which was a tasty collection of cold knockwurst (I think), cheese, egg and greens. Overall, a nice lunch, almost too much for one sitting. Lunch with lemonade and tax was about $24, before... More

This is a fun place to go, especially if you have a long layover between flights at LAX, as it's only about a 5 minute drive from the airport, and maybe a 10 minute walk? I would have never known this place existed, except someone we knew told us about it. Otherwise, you could drive past it a thousand times... More

I'll start off by saying that I have never been to Switzerland. Germany, yes, several times, but never Switzerland. First of all, the menu is fantastic. Many places have one or two regional dishes to justify it being called German or Swiss, but this place was legit. I had the Rahm Schnitzel, which was up there with what I've had... More

Great Food! Better Beer! One of my favorite restaurants in LA! The next time you want to treat yourself and your family to an amazing meal, go to the Chalet.

If you are planning on flying out of LAX and want to grab a bite before your journey I highly recommend this place. We went there to get one last bite to eat before making a huge journey and I was not disappointed. Everything was so good, my whole family was a chorus of "Oh, you MUST try this, it... More

Second time we have stopped here. Love the Rahm Schnitzel and spatzle. The kids had pizza and that was good also. Server was nice and friendly.

We stumbled into this fun eatery when the owner met us on the street as we were perusing the menu outside. Authentic? I've never been to the Swiss Alps, but the owner has. He proudly pointed to a photo when he was a youngster with his great-grandfather on the slopes. Steak Tartare is a brave choice in an unknown restaurant... More
