Great Ambiance and huge beer selection.

The original is on Montana in Santa Monica, but this newer location is great. Not quite the jammed hole in the wall. Burger is still their main thing. I was there for a business meeting so we sat out on the patio. No server ever came by, but the bartenders were prompt and friendly. Not sure... read more

I've been meaning to go to Father's Office for a while now, They have a great reputation for having one of the best burgers in L.A. so I needed to try it. Man, this place did not disappoint. The Office burger was amazing! The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection. The grilled onion on this burger was something I've... More

The original Father's Office in Santa Monica was the first of the new wave beer bars. Sang opened it and started the wave. He was the first with unique imported beers and then the local craft ones - before anyone else did. Famous burger - no special orders it comes one way and that is it.. and NO Ketchup.

Excellent burger. Berbere lamb was also quite good. Order at the bar and "no substitutions" is different but fits right in with the clientele. Food is served when the kitchen/server feels like it-fifteen minutes from when the first person at our table of six got their food until the last. Free valet parking is a nice touch. I don't need... Terrible, terrible place. While this place has a pretty nice bar, the service arrangement is one of the most ridiculous I've never seen. You order your food and drinks at the bar and the kitchen will bring the food out to you. You take your own drink from the bar. Same thing for closing your tab, you go to the... More

Delicious! Seating is a little tricky and you need to place your food order at the bar. As busy as they were, the bartender was happy to allow us to try multiple tasters of different beers before ordering!

I was recommended this place by a friend of mine, who lives in LA for 30 yrs. This place was more than I expected; the burger was delicious of course, and the atmosphere was like a casual sport bar with great service. The burger came with huge pâté, almost a steak and sauce was so good with it. I obviously... More

Boy did I choose the wrong place to celebrate! Please note that it was not crowded when we dined here to celebrate an addition to our family. I first asked the bartender if he could say xyz to surprise a family member when bringing our drinks. Being completely indifferent to the news I wanted to surprise someone with, he informed... More

There is something to be said for lack of choices. You get 1 burger option and its their way but it doesnt matter, The burger is superb. Tasty, tender, seasoned just right. With fries and a beer and there is nothing more you need. My son's office is very close to FO so when Im in town visiting always try... More

Hi, we have 5 people for lunch...Sit wherever you can find space. Hi, we'd like to order...go to the bar and place your order. Hi, is it possible to just get a plain hamburger...sorry, no, no substitutions. It comes with carmelized onions, bacon, arugula, blue cheese, and gruyere cheese, but they're all perfectly balanced. Yes, I realize, but I don't... More
