great rock music themed restaurant and bar. Marilyn Monroe got engaged here.

Love the atmosphere. cozy open fire, christmas tree lights, cozy booths and loads of rock memorabilia. The Pizza is great and so are the steaks. My husband and I went to the Rainbow for dinner. The ambiance is fun, especially if you love rock 'n roll history - everyone who is anyone in the rock 'n roll world has been there! The pizza was pretty good, but a little whimmpy. The bathroom was dirty. The Rainbow is actually more of an after party hangout for... More

Rainbow Bar & Grill, in the very heart of the Sunset Strip, is truly a special place! That's not just a restaurant with an emphasis on Italian cuisine, which is aplenty so popular in Los Angeles. For several decades, Rainbow is a cult place for those who somehow associate themselves with the industry and culture of ROCK: rock musicians and... More

Comforting experience. Food was okay, service was fine but classic old school LA eating experience. Was cool.

We went to the Rainbow with pretty low expectations while visiting from the UK. Upon arriving the place looks great and the staff were friendly enough. The booths are full of memorabilia. We had a couple of drinks and eventually ordered food... This was a mistake. I ordered a burger and when it arrived it was lukewarm, it tasted like... More

This is one of my favorite places on the Sunset Strip. They have good food, with generous portions. They also have good, strong drinks if you're into that kind of thing. Most importantly, the Rainbow is a Sunset Strip institution. Before it was the Rainbow, it was called the Villa Nova. This is where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio had... More

If you want a legend/icon of history this place has it. Memorabilia on every wall inside that dark cavern of a bar. Food was another thing, even the nachos which are hard to do bad, were bad. Overpriced which I guess if you are going here for a cheap drink its probably not the place to head. All in all... More

Chicken soup and Pizza was amazing but steak was reasonable at best, and the service was very poor. Our waitress paid us little attention. Had to ask 3 times for some milk and when we sent a steak back to be cooked some more (we asked for it to be well done - I was served medium) it took them... More

While in LA awhile back I gave my friend the choice of where she wanted to eat and she chose the Rainbow Bar and Grille on Sunset, so I thought since I had never been there it would be a pretty cool place to have a bite and have a few drinks. Has a cool atmosphere for sure, and it's... More
