Dissapointing with the service

Off course Desperate housewife is one of my favorite serial tv and off course I came b'coz of Eva longoria and wanna try latin fusion dishes. It is located in hollywood and vineland, one block after passing Katsuya, you could easily miss this restaurant, I hardly find the front door. The hostess... read more

People rave about this place, but I don't understand it. It's a pretty space, and it's owned by Eva Longoria, but the food wasn't anything special. The sangria, which was supposed to be incredible wasn't. There's such great Mexican and Latin cuisine in Los Angeles, there are much better options.

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at Beso before seeing a show at the Pantages. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic (but not very helpful in describing dishes) and our service was timely. The food was pricey, but our meats were perfectly prepared and juicy, and the flavors had enough originality to warrant the few extra dollars.... More

Came here with the family before watching Wicked. I have a family of 6 which means a lot of different dishes. I'll just review 2 plates and dessert but first let me say that all of the food was delicious and so flavorful. And the presentation was great. I got the Jidori chicken and let me tell you that this... More

Chose this restaurant because of the Eva Longoria connection, and whilst its likely merely a business investment for her, it is nonetheless and lovely environment but certainly not fine dining if that is what you're looking for. The upstairs was booked for a rowdy Christmas function but otherwise its a nice restaurant options for couples and friends. PROS - AMEX... More

We had a most pleasant experience at Beso Restaurant. We were first asked when seated if we were using a Groupon or other type of coupon. We were not, but that piqued our curiosity so we wanted to know why they asked. According to our waiter, if using a Groupon (or similar coupon) then you do not receive a "full... More

Was late for my reservation, but since my friend was patiently waiting, we were still seated quickly once I arrived! We took advantage of the Groupon deal and I was a bit worried that because we had a Groupon, our service would suck. It did not. We had such a nice waitress, and if we needed something, she was easily... More

First off, the ambiance is excellent IF there is anyone in the place, which is rare now. This restaurant used to be a reasonable Hollywood option, and we have been there a number of times over the years. Very sadly, we have witnessed the deterioration all the way down to its present condition: Usually empty...overpriced, mediocre food with a limited... More

We had an early dinner before seeing Wicked last night. We wanted to keep it light before sitting for a couple hours,so my husband and I shared the Beso Guacamole and chips, the taco plate, and Marguerita flatbread pizza. It was all wonderful, though the ahi tacos were just a bit spicier than I might have preferred. We had the white wine Sangria... More

We had an early meal at Beso before a show at the Pangaes Theatre....It was our anniversary and Beso was a wonderful start for the evening. We actually enjoyed a pitcher of the delicious Sangria, and then sampled four small plates. We recently visited Spain, and with the small plates and Sangria, we felt like we were back in Spain... Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
