Cool & Comfortable

We enjoyed our evening at Beso. Atmosphere was cool, L.A. laid-back, beautiful people, fine presentation of food and prompt, friendly service. Food was delish and fresh. Little pricey, but to be expected.

I made reservations at Beso Restaurant, this was my third time eating there. The first time, I attended a private birthday party in the upstairs area - full bar, seating and booths for about 100 people (with private entrance / exit for dignitaries). The second time was when I attended a show at the Pantages Theater so it was natural... More

We went to Beso on July 16 for dinner even though most of the reviews were negative, and now I know why. There was a private event in the bar area with a guy on a microphone that made the restaurant sound like a cafeteria! The food was average at best. We expressed our concern to Ethan, the mgr, and... Ate here on a business dinner. At least I wasn't paying. What a horrible place. It is trying to be cool and trendy with virtually no lighting but trying too hard. The waitress we had was a wannabe starlet and took no interest in taking our orders or actually serving us. The bathroom is a horrendous experience , smells terrible... More

My husband and I came to Beso for dinner, and the food was not good :( I ordered the rack of lamb, but it was completely flavorless :( the chef should accompany the lamb with a sauce. My husband ordered the Jidori chicken, and it made him very sick :( we had to cut our date night short cuz he... More

The restaurant can be easily missed as the signage is so small and the door is even harder to find! The place is really dark and could do with some extra lighting. The food and service were ok but nothing out of this world and certainly not memorable. I think a lot of the hype is because of the owner... More

If you're looking for a place for a large group this is not the restaurant! They do not split checks, our waitress was hard to find, and took for ever to pay! The food was good though and atmosphere was nice! Recommend for a couple! On a side note be prepared to walk past the homeless. This was a shock to... More

We took a group of ten to Beso. We met at 6:30, and shortly after ordered. We told the waiter Jessie that we had tickets to Motown at the Pantages, and needed to be out of the restaurant by 7:45pm. He assured us that would be no problem. And the restaurant was about half full. At 7:30, we began pressing... More

Food is very good. Pork chops are my favorite. I love the portion sizes. You will not leave starving and right into a hamburger place.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
