Good drinks, great atmosphere and Awesome Music!

I had seen some of the harsh reviews, but I really enjoyed my visit. We had a 7 pm reservation and were immediately seated. I tried the Edison which is a whisky based drink and it was very good. My customer had standard dirty martinis and they were pleased. The only unimpressive part of the... read more

OK so I was expecting something different. Maybe I should rate it higher but I can't. 6 of us arrived to warm greetings from the door to the table. The interior is stunning! clearly some design and thought went into this club. I found it fantastic in many ways from quiet cozy corners to wide open areas. Well laid out... More

For 2 years The Edison was my favorite spot in LA and always was looking forward to go there when i was visiting LA (I live in San Diego). 2 days ago I was there again and it was very, very disappointing. What happened to their dress code enforcement - wearing Ugg boots???!!! Ski caps? Flannel checkered shirts??? Not only... More

What a great place to host a party for friends, celebrate a special occasion or try somewhere new. Loved coming down the long staircase to see a band playing, a large bar and cool seating.

My friend brought me here, I really liked the way the bar was designed. Seating is very comfortable! The music has a laid feel. I did not like the Hibiscus shot though, it tasted like licorice. I did try another drink though. The waitresses were really professional! This place is for a mature laid back crowd! Loved it!

A friend took me to this place and insisted I was going to love it. And I did! It is a cool, beautiful place, with a nice ambiance. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to talk about. The staff is friendly and attentive, and prices can be a bit steep, but you are paying for the coolness as well.... More

My clubbing days are long gone but this place reminded me of trendy, hidden clubs I used to visit in NYC. It's different, cool, and I"m guessing a place only locals would visit. If you have out of town friends who don't get out much and are open minded (some of their shows are slightly "risque") this is one great... More

I read in the "Fluid" literary series here last week, and I have to say the Edison is on a completely different plane than any establishment I've ever been in before. The atmosphere is incredible, the drinks are good, and the food is top notch. Everything is pricey, but hey what do you expect for the best night club in... More

The vibe of this 100 year old power plant is amazing. We stopped for a Thursday night happy hour and were not disappointed. Food was a $14 steak and fries, $9 for two sliders and $4 for a soft pretzel with cheese dip. Drinks were 40% off menu price between 5pm and 7pm. Prices are a bit expensive when it... More

I finally made it down there after hearing great things about it. Really funky. Great food and drinks Only down side is if you do not get a good table, it's a bit of a pain to eat off an end table

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
