A must-see club in Los Angeles

The vibe of this 100 year old power plant is amazing. We stopped for a Thursday night happy hour and were not disappointed. Food was a $14 steak and fries, $9 for two sliders and $4 for a soft pretzel with cheese dip. Drinks were 40% off menu price between 5pm and 7pm. Prices are a bit... read more

I finally made it down there after hearing great things about it. Really funky. Great food and drinks Only down side is if you do not get a good table, it's a bit of a pain to eat off an end table

I'm sorry but when I'm wearing d&g jeans, a Burberry jacket and you don't let me in because I have $250 Nike low pros on you can go to hell. I don't care how elegant your establishment is, this is the 21st century. If I casually wear trendy sneakers instead of ferragamos and you turn me away, when someone in... More

This place is hard to find since location is on the alley. From outside its nothing as soon as you go in, omg the architecture and lightings are pretty much original "Edison" style. Definitely needs reservation for bigger crowd, great happy hour menu and drinks, gets crowded, early birds gets the worm and they let you seat on reserve table... More

O love the decor of this place, lots of cool drinks, including the Absinthe Fairy shots. The staff was very attentive and professional from the door guys to the servers. this is a first class establishment that can't be missed. The Aerialist were awesome too!!

The entrance is on a side street downtown but was easy to find. The decor is fun. Walk all around and see the old electrical equipment preserved artistically. The food was good, especially the Mac and cheese. I recommend trying multiple small plates with friends. The little cocktail tables are best for one appetizer at a time. We just had... More

This place is such a memorable spot due to the history and architecture represented. The drinks are pricey and you can forget about sitting down unless you want to pay handsomely but its still well worth a visit to gaze at the decor and to catch a burlesque performance and watch a silent movie. The staff aren't particularly friendly and... More

The Edison is one of the most unique venues anywhere for drinks, dining, etc. Come early to walk through the entire facility and check out the historical artifacts, and ask one of the bartenders for something interesting to drink. Then come back after 8 for the real scene! Don't let the alley-entry put you off - this is not a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
