This place is reminiscent of a roaring 20's speakeasy in that you walk down a dirty looking alleyway to a non-descript entrance to access The Edison. Upon paying the cover you decend down a long flight of stairs into a strikingly beautiful bar/lounge with very tall ceilings, "Edison" style lighting, and a lot of pre WW2 charm. The Edison has... Mysterious and dark. Makes you feel like you are on the Silver Screen. Swanky witout the bourgeouis. Go to happy hour to absorb the atmosphere in plain clothes; get on the list if you want to stay for dinner.

This is,the kind of place so,unique and special that u can't forget. Its like I stepped into another place in time, the roaring 20s. Everyone is so beautiful, the place is dark and mysterious. Really sexy. Yes the drinks can be expensive but again this,is not the bar you go to every weekend. Fun Night at the Edison.

My husband surprised me with a visit to the Edison. I had been wanting to go ever since a podcast I used to listen to raved about it. It was not anything like I expected. Our hard to get reservations gave us a spot on a very long couch with a small round table in front of us. We were... More

We booked 3 weeks in advance for dinner on a Friday evening. Although we had no response and assumed they had no space, we then received an email 2 days before our scheduled time to say a space had been reserved for us. We were unsure how strict the dress code was going to be and did find the bar... More

This place is not a one size fits all kind of club, you come here and you better dress nice ( unless you're wealthy). The drinks are okay, the food is okay, but its not all about that. It's about dancing and being in a unique environment. Great for celebrations and birthdays, if you're into the club scene. Not recommended... More

I really wanted to love this place since the venue itself is super cool. However, there were too many strange annoying aspects: 1) it is VERY dark inside, I mean very dark( you had better have the flashlight app to read the menu) 2) they had a wonderful jazz combo playing on an elevated stage, but there is almost nowhere... We came here for an early dinner and drinks before a show at the Wiltern. We were given a cozy booth in a quiet corner. We saw that they had fantastic happy hour specials (40% off certain drinks, highly discounted prices on certain menu items), so we both ordered fancy cocktails. For dinner my husband went with the steak and... More

This is, I suppose, one of the "in" places in downtown LA. it's a 3 story basement private coal fired electricity generating power plant, long disused, until a business genius decided to make it into as weird a club that he could. This includes many screens with strange, animated films. The patrons dress for the occasion. We had a great... More

We recently held a event at The Edison and it was one of the most stunning parties I've had the privilege to attend. The staff is incredible and the location is extraordinary! I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. From the food, to the decor to the music. Wonderful! I highly recommend!
