The food at Nobu is always very good but very expensive. My problem with this particular Nobu is the service. Its not bad service if we were at Hamburger Hamlet but when your paying these prices you want a little more upscale service, a little finesse.

Got hooked on Nobu during a week in the Bahamas where we must have eaten there 5 times in 8 days. So good to finally explore the LA location and have had 2 great experiences. Each time we've come early and have had the restaurant to ourselves before prime time hits. The service is exemplary and my wife and I... More

My husband and I met 2 friends at Nobu to celebrate one of their birthdays last night. This will be my 3rd visit to a Nobu after the New York and London locations, and my first in Los Angeles. While I was highly impressed with New York, we had been very disappointed in London. The Los Angeles Nobu dinner lived... More

If you like sushi and are willing to pay for it I highly recommend nobu. Simply put, valet helped us out of the cab, waiter was very nice and upbeat. Bus people were there to pick up plates or refill water instantly. Valet helped us hail a cab and told us to wait inside under the heater so my wife... More

We had an outstanding evening in the bar/lounge enjoying the fabulous cocktails and outstanding small plates. Service was exemplary and it made for a very memorable first night in LA.

We reserved a table at Nobu before heading to LA from Australia. Having heard so much about this place we though we would give it a try. Being some one who eats out a lot in many cities across the world, I was very impressed. Our waiter immediately offered sparkling or still water when being seated, and handed us our... More

Everything was great EXCEPT....... way overpriced for what it is. Make no mistake, the food is very good, I just wish I had more then 2 bites of each dish (that cost almost $20 each) to enjoy. The server said that the food was "family style" to share, but the portions are no where near "family style." You have to... More

First, I want to say that Nobu has a reputation for exceptional food and this was a first dining experience at Nobu for me and my wife. Our experience was puzzling however. It all started out with the reservation. I called on a Saturday early afternoon and the person at Nobu said they were fully booked. That's right! NO reservations.... More

It is a pretty restaurant and has great lighting and layout. But less face it, NOBU is all about a gastronomic experience. You pay for subtle exquisite art that you eat.... Well not here! After having done other nobus I just feel like it has been watered down. Large size nigiris and the batter on the tempura is like something... More
