Great breakfast place

Have been going here for 25+ years. Old fashioned (in a good way) and very friendly. Great breakfast food.

Homemade food with special organic local vegetable. Recommendation- create your own omelette, thin blueberry pancake, quesadilla, fish & chip etc.

Dining at Village Pantry is like eating at your mom's or Auntie's house. It's fresh, organic, home-made real food. My faves are breakfast quesadilla, eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, hash browns and #4 breakfast. This is not a hipster cafe. It's an old fashioned diner where everybody knows your name. We are a couple of Julie and David's regulars amongst dozens... More

In between the two main drags in Los altos sits the unassuming Village Pantry Coffee Shop, long a mainstay in downtown LA. This morning I had the combination eggs, bacon & sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Service was quick, but the portions a bit skimpy on the biscuits and gravy; however there were lots of bits of sausage in the... More

A real regular for locals, all organic and home cooking. We visited from the UK, having heard it was a real slice of the American way of life. Everyone was really friendly, large menu and the service was attentive, the coffee kept coming. Asked about the sauces and was told everything is fresh, home made and organic. Lots of photos... Julie is the owner, and keeps the place running with here charm and humor. I come here for breakfast when I am in town on business, and want a nice easy breakfast without all... More

Found this little gem by accident last year. On our trip last week, we returned. I can only vouch for the breakfast. The absolute best breakfast in the area. The waffle with sliced apples and blueberries is to die for! You don't even need syrup. It's simply that good. Husband had the French toast and thought it was super as... More

A basic restaurant - while the service was good, the food wasn't. Have tried this place several times, each because one of my friends has suggested it. Food is bland - to the point of tasteless.

Visited the Village Pantry last Saturday. Was weclomed by very friendly staff. Coffee was great, my wife had the Salmon Scramble with Home Fries and I had the El Maximo Grande. My wife thought the salmon was super and my El Grande was the absolute best omelette I have ever had. We will definetely go there again. By the way... More
