Excellent Chinese food with class!

Came here for lunch today with 2 good friends. We each got the luncheon specials ($10.95) and split the entrees. All came with spring roll or soup and rice. We ordered the Chinese chicken salad (excellent), sautéed green beans (again excellent) and a dish I believe was call Su Mu Pork. (Again... read more

This is the best Chinese food served outside of San Francisco. The ingredients used are all of high quality. The restaurant is clean and light. The kitchen employs more chefs than average, so food is delivered faster.

Just yesterday (19th June 2015) I visited the famous Chinese restaurant, ‘Chef Chu’s, 1067 N San Antonio Road, Los Altos, California’ with my wife, son, daughter-in-law, daughter, and grandson for dinner. My daughter hosted the dinner subsequent to her appoint in a reputed company at San Francisco. She booked table for six. There was huge rush of diners. The significance... More

We where in the area for a meeting and decided to eat early at Chef Chu's. It is a good thing we did because when we finished about 7PM there was a long waiting list. We have been there before but a couple of years ago. The food was ample and tasty and we brought home enough for lunch the... More

The Peking duck was delicious. The meat was very tender, although the skin was a tiny bit fatty. We asked for it two ways, so for $8 extra, a soup made with the bones, with napa cabbage, chinese mushrooms, and tofu followed. The kitchen is incredibly fast and efficient. The waiter was not friendly, but he was very efficient. The... More

From the outset, i'm not so much comparing Chu's with other restaurants, but what it was in 1991. It was, then, transformative. First open kitchen (I believe), high quality, perfectly prepared, gold standard "Chinese" food. I was back a couple of years ago, but that time I was focused more on the friends than the food. This time, I dined... More

This place has an extensive menu, and everything I've had has been tasty. Don't just go for your usual dish, try something new. That's the fun of going with a group and ordering family style. In my several visits here, the place has been consistently busy, which should be a good sign. The service is excellent and so is the... More

Last visit was some years ago and the standard has not changed - still high but the price has increased. For the quality and quantity it is reasonable. The Restaurant was busier than ever on Sunday at 5.30 p.m. and seemed to get busier., Each course was well prepared and promptly served. The only exception was the Salmon which U... More

I found this place on yelp. I knew nothing about the reputation of this place. I brought a small group of15 for an evening dinner of friends. I was a little nervous because I really wanted them to have a good meal and relied heavily of the few reviews I read. We had a family style dinner off the menu.... More

We eat here at least once a week and they do some of the best Chinese food in the bay area. The staff is efficient and friendly and the kitchen turns out food incredibly fast.
