When we want Chinese food in Silicon Valley, this restaurant is the only place we go. Been coming here for many years, and the food, service, and ambiance never fail to please. Don't miss their egg rolls, potstickers, and Beijing beef; they are all super. Add Chef Chu's special fried rice, mu shu pork, sweet and sour prawns, and you... More

I was invited to a business lunch at Chef Chu's recently and was pleasantly surprised by the overall ambiance and attention to detail. We could have been served Italian or French cuisine and I would been comfortable. It was a clean and pleasant dining room and the food tastefully prepared and served. I'm sure Chef Chu's is rated #1 in... More

I dined here on a recent business trip to Palo Alto, I chose Chef Chu's based on the fact that I could walk there from my hotel and also because of a strong recommendation from the desk staff at my hotel. I was really impressed with the decor, the professionalism of the staff, and especially with the quality of the... More

We have been eating here for years. Besides the friendly atmosphere and pretty darned good food, it is always fun to see Silicon Valley luminaries eating at Chu's while being just ordinary folks.

We've been dining at Chef Chu's for over 30 years. It is extremely impressive the quality has been maintained at this family owned restaurant. Favorites include: Potstickers, SnowWhite Chicken, garlic eggplant.

I went with family who love this place - and I can see why it has a loyal crowd. First of all, this is an old-school North American Chinese restaurant - decor, food, service are what you hope for when you hear that - but not imagination.. We ate upstairs (a big long room) so I can't speak to the... More

Not your typical greasy, flavorless Chinese restaurant. This place impressed me with their quality food and the variety on the menu. Being no stranger to Chinese food, I've always expected the same. Decent food but lots of sodium and cooking oil. This place surpassed those standards by keeping the food flavorful without the unnecessary additives. In particular, I was really... More

While visiting Palo Alto recently we developed a taste for Chinese food. There are many choices in the area but we decided on Chef Chu’s – and we’re so glad we did. It is a well-established restaurant that has been there for many years. The description on their website states “Established as one of the Peninsula's best Chinese restaurants, Chef... More

This place is not what is used to be. They focus more on take out and you can get just as good of food at Panda Express for a third of the cost.

Dirty carpet, dusty environtment, regular food, poor service. It is the 1st time a number 1 in trip advisor disappoints me.
