Typical bustling Chinese restaurant in US

I am a Singaporean of Chinese decent and was excited when I read the reviews. When I arrived, I had a hard time finding a parking lot... boy this place is packed....at 8pm I was told that waiting time was 30-40min(I got a seat after 20min). The bigger your group is, the longer your wait will be, If... read more

Has faithfully served the local community for two generations! Great food, always on time, hot, and cooked to order. The go to place for Chinese take out.

The food here is always exceptional. Sometimes the staff are not super friendly and very business like but competent.

Food is consistent, if uninspired. Same menu, same decor, same, same for the 20+ years I've lived here. Bar too small. No comfortable waiting area. A restaurant resting on its former glory. The sad thing is, it's still the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

The food is average but the location is good and it has pictures of famous people with the owners posted on the walls. I am not sure why this place is so popular - maybe I ordered the wrong dishes.

Have eaten there on occasion but usually so crowded that it is difficult to get in. My wife & I prefer the more "authentic" style of Chinese cuisine that is more readily available in this part of California and Chef Chu's offers that option. Everything I've had is well prepared and allows you to taste the overall flavor as well... More

Delicious food- it's clear that each recipe has been finessed over the year. Fantastic food and after 20 years, I don't think I have ever been disappointed in a meal. This restaurant is family run over generations and is very well run. Make sure to have a reservation! While you wait you can see all the different politicians and celebrities... More

Service is prompt, food is quite good. We love the chicken salad, pot stickers, tangerine beef, and many specials.

Went with the family - they were accommodating to our larger group. Service is great, food was authentic and really flavorful (Best hot & sour soup I've had - literally wanted to lick the bowl clean). The crispy sichuan beef was also one of my favorite dishes - over exceeded expectations. Good vibe, great food - would definitely go back... More

Classic Chinese dishes served to your table lickety-split. While there's usually a wait, it's worth waiting for! Annual Chinese New Year's Banquets – with original recipes and descriptions from Chef Chu – are also amazing. Chef's cookbooks are great, and the cooking demonstration classes quite fun and delicious!
