Lunch at the Nursery

Lunch or dinner at the nursery is very enjoyable. Each time I ordered the Homemade Potato Chips and could have made it my whole meal. The order is very large and come with a great artichoke sauce. After your meal enjoy looking around the gardens and boutiques.

Last year a friend took us to this lovely nursery, it is like none other I have ever been to. Creative and lush, it is the closest thing to a botanical garden I have been to. Tons of ideas and gets your creative juices flowing. We felt short changed that the restaurant was booked solid and decided to make advance... More

Downtown Loomis is a visual history primer of the area and High Hands is no exception. Fun to stroll through the unusual "artsy" shops and end up in the restaurant for breakfast or lunch. But it is crowded and reservations are recommended. Cool atmosphere sitting at the small outdoor bar area. The food service was slow perhaps because of the... More

If you have not yet gone to this great place give it a try. The atphmoshpere is totally what makes the evening perfect. Yes this is an evening or sunset type place and they have really gone all out with lights, waterfalls and paths .. Very nice evening

Really lovely and inventive food, my husband had the bacon blue cheese pear pizza with a drizzle of maple syrup, oh yeah! It was all that is good in each bite: savory, sweet, chewy and crunchy - divine. The beer selection, though not on tap, was unexpectedly varied and my roasted veggies with hummus, pita, tomato jam, olives was very... More

For our anniversary we had a lunch of cod tacos. They came with a wonderful zucchini side salad that we hope to duplicate at home. My mimosa was delish and my husband's beer was as decribed. We only had a short wait even though we came at 11:30. We were seated in a place that looked like it would be... More

Went here just to have a look at what all the hype was about. This is a very impressive nursery. Many lovely plants. I was especially impressed with the variety of Dahlias available. There are many things to look at as you are browsing, and nice places to sit and relax. Took a break and sat by the Koi pond... More

We did not mind waiting over one hour for lunch at the cafe, because it is located in the nursery with many fabulous plants, trees, pots to admire. In addition, arts and crafts, olive oil and wine tasting areas make the time pass quickly. Note, using wine purchased on site avoids a corkage fee. Altogether, we had a delightful experience.
