Quick and easy

This shop has been around forever! Service is quick as the staff works as a team. The food is always fresh and hot! The Chuck's special hash is my sons favorite, ground meat mushrooms and chili, cheese and onions optional! Served with a side of cottage potatoes toast or tortilla. Large portions... read more

I don't know what the hype is. There are much better choices. I guess it is the location, which is awesome. I do like the fact that you can bring your dogs and sit outside, but the food is marginal. They need to upgrade the ingredients, like sausage. Mine were ridiculous, small, bland and overlooked. Plus, I had to send... More

Found Chuck's while driving around getting a feel for the area. This is a place that should not be missed if you like to get a feel for local life and want an exceptional breakfast or lunch.

Good portions of bulk food without any flavor; meal was not satisfying (skillet); coffee way below standard of a real "coffee" shop; love the location and available parking. Summary:just average

We had breakfast here on our second morning in the area after a walk along the sea front from Long Beach. We saw one customer tucking into a large bowl of fruit and knew this was for us. Absolutely gorgeous and very generous helpings. OK this may not be the Ritz and there is no air con, but it was... More

My parents and I went to Chuck's around Christmas time after my father heard about the place on some food blogs. We sat at the counter and had a great breakfast and enjoyed talking with the owner and the other patrons at the counter. We were even treated to a free shot of Brandy in our coffee in honor of... Visiting family in Long Beach, CA, "my" Chuck and I decided to go to breakfast. He used to live there and suggested we go to this restaurant....I'm so glad he did! I felt like I had stepped back in time a little; we even got to meet the original Chuck who owned the restaurant. What a neat little place!! The... More

Went for lunch during the week. Wasn't too busy, so there wasn't a wait. The owner, Chuck, was there and came by the table to chat. The food was very good and service was efficient. Prices are very reasonable. Very cool little place to stop for a bite.
