Love this cafè!

We go often for brunch and sometimes for lunch, it is always a homestyle treat. Service is polite and accomodating and the food is truly wonderful. Brunch any day, but on Sunday, requires a wait, but have a seat and watch the people, they'll even give you coffee while you wait!

Got here on a Thursday at 1:45 - the place was packed! Always a good sign in my book. Squeezed up to the register to get our name in. This is a small place that has used every inch possible to seat as many people as they can. The lunch counter is first come first served. I love places with... More

We usually frequent other establishments on the weekend, but Bake n Broil was just the perfect place for us this time. Most delicious strawberry pancakes. And my bacon omelet was good.too.

Great choice of food. Muffins are baked fresh. Cakes are great. I had steak n eggs and they were juicy n tasted awesome. Service was excellent n prompt. The downside is limited parking n the price. So avoid peak times. A usual breakfast, coffee n dessert cost about $15-20. Will go back again for sure.

I was craving homemade comfort food - not fancy, just good down home food served by friendly people. My late morning breakfast at Jongewaard's Bake N' Broil delivered just what I wanted. I tried the lemon blueberry pancakes with raspberry sauce- simply delicious. My companion chose the Ranch breakfast and was also very pleased. The restaurant is small but brimming... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach for the past 20 years. You can always rely on a familiar menu with a little twist: pot roast, hot turkey sandwiches and the most amazing pies in town. Service is super efficient and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Always satisfied!

Great Breakfast, good lunch, home style dinners. This diner serves typical diner style food, however its their baked good, cakes and pies that are top notch. Make no mistake, this is not gourmet food, not is it meant to be. The menue items are tried and true. The atmosphere is this small neighborhood cafe is charming. Service is impeccable, just... More

This is good down home comfort food, and it's really good, especially for breakfast. I have eaten there several times, the cinnamon roll french toast is decadent and will satiate your sweet tooth-- as will the pumpkin pancakes, when in season. If you prefer something a little more savory, the benedict or huevos rancheros are both excellent and equally tasty... More

I would love to say how terrible the food is here, but that would be a big fat lie. The food is wonderful, just like everyone's mom and grandmother used to make. Everything is made in their kitchen. Pot roast, turkeys, pot pies, fresh mashed potatoes, soups, and best of all pastries. Wonderful cakes, the best pies all varieties, oh... More
