One of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach for the past 20 years. You can always rely on a familiar menu with a little twist: pot roast, hot turkey sandwiches and the most amazing pies in town. Service is super efficient and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Always satisfied!

Great Breakfast, good lunch, home style dinners. This diner serves typical diner style food, however its their baked good, cakes and pies that are top notch. Make no mistake, this is not gourmet food, not is it meant to be. The menue items are tried and true. The atmosphere is this small neighborhood cafe is charming. Service is impeccable, just... More

This is good down home comfort food, and it's really good, especially for breakfast. I have eaten there several times, the cinnamon roll french toast is decadent and will satiate your sweet tooth-- as will the pumpkin pancakes, when in season. If you prefer something a little more savory, the benedict or huevos rancheros are both excellent and equally tasty... More

I would love to say how terrible the food is here, but that would be a big fat lie. The food is wonderful, just like everyone's mom and grandmother used to make. Everything is made in their kitchen. Pot roast, turkeys, pot pies, fresh mashed potatoes, soups, and best of all pastries. Wonderful cakes, the best pies all varieties, oh... More

This small homey, retro restaurant is worth seeking out. Parking is available on the street and parking lot across the street. The menu offers some diner food, updated American classics and absolutely delicious bakery items. I am a sweet eater and I have never been to any other small independent restaurant which offers such a huge assortment of pastries, pies,... More

This place is old family cooking with class. You will not leave this restaurant hungry. The chicken pot pie is out of this world good. Their sandwiches are awesome and one of their best knowns is their baked goods. They have the best German Chocolate Cake and Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing. YUMMMMERS!!

Bake N' Broil is famous for the bakery goods, but do not miss the opportunity to sample other items. We have been here many times and some of our favorite items include: Chicken Pot Pie, French Onion Soup. Pumpkin Pancakes. Our favorite is the Hamburger Special with a selection of one of their delicious cakes. Avoid the lunch crowds, which... More

You usually have to wait at the Bake n' Broil, even for counter service. There is a reason. This is another neighborhood restaurant that people even travel from far to enjoy. Sandwiches and burgers are freshly made, sides are great. I haven't had a bad meal yet. It is an institution in Bixby Knolls section of Long Beach. I hope... More

When ever we are in the Long Beach, Lakewood California area we go to the Bake N' Broil. The Pies and Deserts are excellent. Food is very good and lots of it for the money. Excellent daily specials. Not a lot of seating area, and not much room for large group, but is great for 4 or less.
