Fun choice - great vibe and always busy

Extensive oyster and fish selections. Big bar area you can eat in if you do not want to wait for a table. Reasonably priced and right in the heart of downtown LB. Walkable from all hotels 5-10 minutes

The atmosphere is typical New England. The Alaskan San Dabs are probably the best I've ever had. Service a bit overbearing but, better than being under served.

Our family of four made reservations after seeing this restaurant during a walk earlier in the day on a Saturday. SO glad we did as they were quite busy when we returned for our dinner outside. Service was attentive and super friendly. The baked mussels app was amazing and my husband really enjoyed his trout dinner and I had a... More

Surprisingly good sashimi. Substituted fish without hesitation. Had their red crab and it was very good. Service was average but the music was very loud for a restaurant. Would return for those two items - would have to be when we could sit outside and not listen to the music.

I was there with a party of 10 and the only good thing we could say was that the clam chowder was very good. The crab cakes, catfish, shrimp pasta, rosemary potatoes were all just average. The salmon salad was good, however, it wasn't good enough for us to want to return. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was... More

Coming from Florida, and having fresh seafood available at so many places, I guess I was expecting more from this restaurant. A party of 3, we had been traveling all day, so we opted to sit in the bar and have the happy hour menu. Honestly, I am so happy we did not pay full price for what we ate.... More

Went there for early dinner. We ordered some oysters that came on a big plate with different sauces and some Martinis. They were all pretty good. For dinner, I had sword fish with some vegetables & it was alright. Everything was okay but we felt this was a bit overpriced. If you all love seafood, you should try this restaurant.

Our server was excellent, knew her stuff and we all believe we were in for an excellent evening..all six of us are restaurant owners and were in town for a conference. Our entre order was lost and after a very long time we got our main course...two of ordered scallops...I have never seen scallop come out in pieces before...it was... More

I remember this restaurant when it was the Pine Avenue Fish House and before that Pine Avenue Grill. It had always been a personal favorite when I lived in Long Beach. Having moved away I have made it a point to return to this restaurant when I visit Long Beach and have often recommended this place to other visitors. Having... More
