I've been going to Johnny Rebs for 15 years now. The food is great and the service is outstanding. If you have a chance to go try thier cornmeal deep fried catfish. Tuesdays are all you can eat catfish for around 15 dollars. The desserts are very good also. My favorite is the peach cobbler with ice cream. more

Johnny Reb's was destroyed by fire a year or so ago an recently reopened. It seems perhaps they read some of these reviews because they are better than before. Service was great, fast and friendly, but the food lacked flavor. We ordered a combination bbq plate that came with two fixins'. The fixins' (black eyed peas & greens) were better than the bbq, but not great. We also ordered the fried chicken, very below average. I do think the fried okra was good. My boyfriend and I just love coming to this little shack of a restaurant. The food is always great, hearty, and fun home-style cookin'. We just returned from eating our way across New Orleans and Memphis and these ribs still are high up on our list! Enjoy! more

Friends and I go to Johnny Rebs for birthdays and other occassions and no occassion needed. The catfish is the best I've had since I left Kansas and ate my Mon and Dad's cooking. I keep saying I will try something different but always end up with the catfish. I think it's GREAT! more
