A wedding rehearsal dinner was a delicious reason to visit this place. Valet parking ($5) made it easy, and the interior's high ceilings lent a spacious feeling. The arrangements for this large group of people were well-handled, the tables were beautifully laid out and the service unobtrusive and effective. Three entree selections (salmon, chicken, lasagna) gave everyone a good choice.... More

If you are looking for an elegant evening in a fun and stylish atmosphere with a range of both dishes and matching wines, then this is a great place to go. The evening I had included a talented live singer as well! Terrific service - you feel like royalty from the moment you hand your keys at the valet until... More

The service was very good and the owner Mario goes around and greets all the guests. The atmosphere is very nice. Two of our party ordered pasta and they really enjoyed the food. I was disappointed with the caprese salad - very thin heirloom tomatoes so there was 3 times as much cheese as tomato. I had the appetizer crabcakes... More

I ate at La Traviata twice, once with a large group of business associates, and once alone. The restaurant was around the corner from the Varden boutique hotel where I was staying (see separate review). The owner, Mario, greets everyone personally, makes you feel immediately like one of the family, and got the chef to make me an authentic Roman... More

I was heading to town for the much anticipated Classical Mystery Tour concert at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. I had initially carved out plenty of time before the show in anticipation of enjoying a lovely Italian meal at La Traviata nearby. I first saw their name on the Performing Arts Center's website where I found out that this... More

I had dinner with two business associates. We were warmly greeted, the food was wonderful, and the service was attentive without being fussy. We also appreciated the nice quiet atmosphere where we could actually carry on a conversation without too much effort! I'll be back on my next trip to Long Beach.

This is another gem of Long Beach. It seems as if there are so many, it's hard to keep track. I nearly didn't want to give this one away. Tucked away off the beaten path and hidden, this is a place for people in the know. Decor, food, ambiance, service are all 5 star (go see for yourself). Live music... More

Recently went for the first time. Treated my brother and sis-in-law for their 30th anniversary. The food was great! The service was great! The ambience and singing made the evening very enjoyable. Whether your from the area or from out of town, you'll have a wonderful evening! Two tips: 1) make reservations and on the day of your reservation call... More
