To be frank--prior to coming to Papalucci's, I was not a fan of Italian food, but after my first visit seven years ago I was hooked!!! My favorite appetizers are their garlic mushrooms, peppers and sausage, and their cheesy garlic bread (it looks like a small pizza). Their pasta sauces for their entrees (both red and white) are well seasoned... More

I don't know how they do it but their Caesar Salad is the best. We are Caesar Salad connoisseurs. No place in Long Beach or out of Long Beach can top Papalucci's. Also, something for everyone -- pasta, pizza, meatball sandwiches, etc. Just added a tri-tip dish. I'll second caligirl991: garlic rolls are a must! But my family loves the... More

I live in Long Beach and frequent Popalucci's all the time. The staff is pleasant, the food is good and it is an unknown gem in Belmont Shore. You will love it! Cucumbers and garlic rolls are a must!

Loved everything about this place - the atmosphere, the service , the food and even the owner came across to all the tables and greeted them. I thin the price is a good reflection of what you get so it isn't cheap but it wasn't overpriced either.

I went with two friends to Paplucci's the other night, as we had read reviews stating that their pizzas were some of the best in Long Beach. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience. We had dinner reservations (it was a Saturday night), but waited around for quite a while for our table. I had a suspicion that they had... More

Located conveniently in the shopping area of Belmont Shore, Papalucci is a good place to stop for lunch/dinner. Red checkered table cloths, a friendly staff and wonderful pasta all make for a pleasant dining experience.

Lunch on a Monday at about 11:45 AM; we were only the second customers, and there were only two other persons the whole time we were there [for a total patronage of six for the hour]. I had Chicken Marsala with penne as the side. The Marsala was hardly noticeable in the thin watery sauce which accompanied the onions and... More

Papalucci's has the most wonderful scampi known to man. If you love garlic, parma and romano, olive oil, lemon and butter you will absolutely be bowled over. Not so good on the waist line, though. I order mine with linguini. Every one of my friends and family from out of town always needs to have the scampi when they come... More
