What a great place, it seems as though you’re in a sleepy and quaint beachside resort! My husband and I decided to return to a tried a true restaurant, complete with great Latin American food and drinks, delightful music and a romantic ocean front location. Doesn’t get any better…drinks, dinner, and dancing. The Mojitos are potent and their Pork Carnitas... More

Great place for margaritas but also a good wine list. Chili Relanos were unique and staff is very attentive. One of the nicest restaurants with a view that is not part of a chain in Long Beach.

The location is prime. The decorative "idea" is spot on, but they totally "miss" with the food. The interior could use a little "sprucing up", and the kitchen may need a visit from Hell's kitchen Chef Ramsay because it is on a decline. Menu items sound good, but don't deliver.

Visiting from Texas with friends who are from the L.A. area. This place was awesome and the food - fajitas - were great and filling. Drinks- chuppacabra - was good. Nice band near our table with good jazz artists-Steve Oliver. Overall this place was fun filled with nice ambience and beach breeze atmosphere.

Some locations are good and others great; all the while, some locations must be considered a "staple" of their city. La Palapa is just that, a staple. The Pacific Ocean in clear view by day, live music and intimate atmosphere by night, this spot has it all. If you enjoy a good cocktail, this is a must try. Every time... More

We love this place because it's literally right on the beach. The giant palapa makes you feel like you're on a mini vacation for the afternoon. We can always count on great live music, excellent food and a great view for sunset. It's great for dates or meeting up with friends or a celebration. I recommend this place to everyone.

I have been twice, as the title suggests. My husband and I went by ourselves once; and then we took the kids with us the next time. They didn't reinvent the wheel with their menu, but everything was fresh and cooked correctly. The best part was being able to take a nice walk on the beach afterwards.
