Mediteranien Food

It's seams they are taking over 2nd street. At this time they have 2 locations almost next to each other. One at the corner and one 60 feet next to it. Always packed with a good variety of Mediterranean dishes. I love their chicken dishes. Recommended MeuterMedia

Server was very attentive, food was good. Sat outside on sidewalk, great to people watch while eating dinner.

Very good food and really nice service. I had to wait for friends to come and they let me sit at our table and made me feel very welcomed with their patience and customer service. The food was a very good portion which equaled to the amount we paid and the quality of the food was very good as well.... More

My friend and I had lunch out on the patio. I had one of the lunch specials, a falafel sandwich on a whole wheat pita and soup. The soup was half and half puréed vegetable and lentil so I could taste both. The price was reasonable, the service good and they had good vegan options.

In Long Beach for a visit from NC, and one of my friends tells me I NEED TO GO HERE because she knows I love Middle Eastern food. Stupid me, I ate a big lunch so when I got here for dinner, my husband and I were only in the mood for appetizers...*headslap* Got the mezes plate - loaded with... More

I was in the area for work, and had stopped by another place to pick up some items before my return trip home to North Carolina. I asked for dinner recommendations for local flavor and he said Open Sesame was one of his favorites, and close. Once you get passed the parking issues in downtown Long Beach, the smells from... This place is one of the best middle Eastern restaurants I have ate at in the United States. It's in the beautiful area of Long Beach called Belmont shore on 2nd street. I'm deducting the star because their pitas are not that fresh or good I'm surprised they don't make their own pita in the house

I have yet to have a bad meal here. Everything from the salads, to meats, to hummus, soups, vegetarian plates-all wonderful! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the ambiance is pretty but often crowded and loud with inconsistent service. By far one of my favorite restaurant to eat in or to go. My kids love it... If you don't mind the noise and the surrounding environment - the stereotype California Beach City version of Yuppieville - this place may suit you just fine. The food is definitely a cut above average for Middle Eastern Cuisine. Open Sesame is noisy enough you need to raise your voice to converse. The food is mostly pretty good. The Kibbeh... More
