A Great Dining Experience at L'Opera

Enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend over dinner at L'Opera Ristorante. Service, food, and ambiance were all excellent. Easy valet parking in a very busy part of Downtown Long Beach where there was lots of activity happening. Especially loved the lasagna and the SOFFICE E LEGGERA, a delicious... read more

Our fourth visit brought the previously wonderful Favorito pasta with crab and truffles...and something hard (like pits or bits of nut shells). Shared appetizer was fine, but uninteresting, Opera salads had excellent dressing. Seated at what we thought was a nice table by the window, but the air vent was on the wall about 2' directly over us -- sticking... More

L' Opera is a seriously first class fining experience. A group of us in business dined there and really thought it top class. These folks have travelled extensively. Service and food quality outstanding.

We had a large group of family celebrating Mother's Day, including two toddlers, and had a lovely lunch! Food: I was able to try a lot of different dishes and sadly I ordered my least favorite. My favorites were the beef carpaccio, lobster risotto, rack of lamb and cappellacci di zucci. My least favorites were the cannelloni alla osso bucco... More

As we entered this historic building in downtown Long Beach we heard the wonderful live and baritone opera singer. The menu was original with many dishes you will not see at a high end Italian restaurant such asL'Opera. With wonderful service and outstanding food, we are already planning our next trip to L'Opera. Try the Cannelloni Osso Bucco and penne... More

What a great value. Only a few choices, but they were all good and reasonable. Try the house wine for $3 a glass! The bartender was really nice and I was able to get a small Caesar salad (not on the happy hour menu), and it was great

When you walk in especially as hot as it has been in SOCAL of late the pleasant cool atmosphere strikes you immediately and took me back to Italy. Beautiful white table cloths, equally superior service. Good wine list with some excellent choices at fairly good prices. But the food this the highlight all well prepared and served. I had the... In town for a convention speech, the night before we wandered into The Opera and had a terrific dinner. The food, the atmosphere and the service were beyond excellent, and so well worth coming back for that after the gig, a whole bunch of us returned to The Opera for lunch. Neither meal could have been better. Trust me, if... More

It's been a while since I've been here and for that I wonder what took me so long to return. The location is energizing and the ambiance will engage you, then the service and food selection will instantly put you at home. This is an adult exprience that is perfect for a dinner date or business closer. Anyone fortunate to... More
