I visited this wonderful restaurant last Saturday night with 2 other couples and we had a most enjoyable experience...This place rocks and the food was the best. We had several pastas to start and then each had a main course from the fish special to the Filet that I had, everything was excellent..I would recommend this place to anyone who... More

I'd been here 2 or 3 years ago and liked it. Looked up the phone number, called to make a reservation for 8 people at 7pm. The hostess answers and says "Welcome Back Mr. D". I was shocked! And it just kept getting better from there. We were all staying at the Renaissance just a block away. By the time... More

This is a high end, fancy dress restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner for our anniversary. The wait staff was there at our beckon call. We were enjoyed our salads followed by wonderful veal. We just enjoyed the evening.

Always delicious and great ambiance...and relaxing. Opera singers were exquisite. Got a complimentary birthday cake! Parking is easy.

L'Opera offers very good takes on a number of traditional Italian dishes and has a reasonable wine list. It will also cater events small and large. However, there are a number of finer such establishments at or below the higher than justified prices of this one.

My wife and I like to have lunch at L'Opera Ristorante after visiting our financial advisor. Parking can be a problem in downtown Long Beach, but L'Opera has valet parking for $6 with validation. On this visit I had the Lombardi Ravioli with short rib beef for $19. It was very good. My wife had the Veal Scaloppine Piccata for... More

My wife and I took our daughter and her fiancee out for a special Sunday dinner, just because. They chose L'Opera as they wanted to dress up a bit, and to make us men wear sport coats! The restaurant was a bit slow on this particular Sunday evening, and the entire place was quiet and reserved, very enjoyable. We all... More

The dining area is sophisticated and elegant. Being called L'Opera it was only natural that the restaurant would have an opera singer. She beautifully sang some classic Christmas songs and all of us enjoyed it. Parking on a Saturday was not as tough as expected with valet parking and public parking options nearby. The cioppino had a bit of kick... More

November 18, 2015. The event was a significant birthday (mine) and also the 38th anniversary of our first date. Our meals were delicious. We had Calamari Fritti for appetizer and for our main meal, we each had the Vellutata salad plus Cannelloni all' Osso Buco for my husband and Salmone Dorato for me. We saved part of the meal for...
