I live around the corner and never get tired of George's. Good reasonably priced food and great service. I often meet friends for a mid week meal. The Greek salad with salmon is enough for two fingers and delicious. Order the flaming saganaki cheese and enjoy a festive table side treat...OPA!!! And on a cold day enjoy the lemon soup.... More

Real Greek food-not the fast-food variety-excellent flavor, ample portions, perfect service, decent prices. Staff and management checked on us often-beverage glasses stayed full. We were even treated with a complimentary desert (delicious baklava!) These folks take obvious pride in their restaurant-super clean dining rooms and restrooms.

George's is one of my favorite restaurants for lunch. They have a wonderful Greek Salad in two sizes that you can top with grilled Salmon or Shrimp.I opt for the smaller salad as it is actually quite large. I tried the lamb chop appetizer and it was really good. The service is always really good...but I make sure I am... More

Not only is the food wonderful, the 2nd street location is quant and fun. Also the owner is known to be very generous to local school fundraisers by donating food for events.

George's is the prettiest little restaurant serving authentic and amazing Greek food. Friendly, helpful service capped off a delightful lunch for four. We'll be back.

The employees are friendly, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable...what else can one ask for? I love going to this place, was never disappointed.

In short, the service was very good but the food was disappointing, maybe because the reviews were so glowing. My village Greek salad was fairly crude - the veggies were all different sizes and looked more mangled than chopped. The grilled salmon was oily and fishy - not fresh tasting at all. The prices are on the high side. I've... More

The lambchops are amazing here. They are always succulent and seasoned to perfection. This is reason enough to come here, but the rest of the food is really good as well. The saganaki (flaming cheese) is always excellent. I recommend getting it without the olives. The saganaki and moussaka are delicious and taste very authentic. This place gets packed around... More

Our first night in Long Beach we walked past this restaurant and the aroma was wonderful. George, the owner, kindly met us outside and invited us in, seating us right on the sidewalk. The food was great and the service was quite friendly. We returned for dinner our last night in Long Beach and enjoyed both meals.

The location on 2nd Street in busy Belmont Shore was good. Sunday afternoon's, the whole street is busy and bustling with locals and tourists. The restaurant itself is cute and well kept. The hostess on the sidewalk encouraged us in. The food was not as good as I would have hoped for and the waiter was new and was still... More
