Returning home from a recent road trip my wife and I found ourselves passing through Lone Pine, CA. around lunch time and decided to stop for a bite to eat. We were looking for some place to park and after turning of the main road onto to a side street we found ourselves at the Alabama Hills Cafe and Bakery.... More

We stopped here for a late breakfast our trip from Death Valley to Yosemite. This was a good choice. The place was busy but we got a seat immediately. All the dishes were enjoyed (pancakes, eggs, sausages home fries, toast etc). The service was prompt if a little brusque. They close at 2pm. If staying or passing through it is... More

10am on a Saturday morning. Packed with a mix of locals, Euros, and other assorted travelers. We both had the Sierra scramble. Hardworking, cheerful staff. Best b-fast I've had out in quite some time. We'll deserving of its top rating. I just wish they served dinner.

Wonderful food, fast service, friendly vibe in this tiny place just off hwy 395 across from the Dow Villa. Best meals in town by a WIDE margin. Good value, large portions, super quality.

Everything was fresh and delicious. The special French dip on garlic toast was very delicious. And they serve beer! So it made for a great pitstop on the way to Mammoth.

We ordered a slice of pie because we heard from friends in the area that they made their own. Had to wait for a while for our drinks and pie. Fairly busy place in the afternoon. I didn't like that there were flies all around our table. We took our pie to go so we could enjoy later. Under new... More

Really we had the best breakfast in the States. You have to wait to be seated, but wait for it! You will enjoy a great breakfast, eggs, omelette, fruits, pancakes, tortillas... We had breakfast/lunch and they have also a good selection of beer. Great place in a suggestive location.

We got coffee and a big cinnamon roll to go - staff was very friendly and helpful asking if she should leave room for cream in the coffee cups. The locals gave us some tips of where to go while we were waiting.

Travelling through the area, we stopped here for a lunch due to the many excellent reviews. The food certainly was excellent; plentiful, tasty, well prepared from fresh ingredients including freshly baked bread. The menu is extensive so everyone should be able to find something they like and prices are very reasonable. While we nothing negative to say with respect to... More

Just open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm. Huge portions, suggest splitting a dish for a small fee. We love the Alabama Hills omelette with avacado, bacon, and cheese. Delicious home fries, and home made breads and pastries. It is so good you will want to eat every meal here. Well priced. Small place. A!ways busy.
