My husband and I drove to Lone Pine to try to get a glimpse of Mt. Whitney. While at the visitor center, we asked where to eat lunch and they directed us to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches were large and very good, but the star of this show is the bakery. After staring into the case... More

My one regret is not eating an entire meal here, however while I waited at the counter to be helped, I saw the waitress deliver meals that looked INCREDIBLE. However, let me discuss the amazing baked goods!!! I bought my brother in law a cinnamon roll that screamed HOMEMADE GOODNESS, not one of those gloppy messes at the chain stores.... More

They make it from scratch, and plenty of it. The menu of the breakfast-all-day and lunch place is huge and fascinating. Although not a regular breakfast eater, I had difficulty deciding what to order because several dishes looked creative. Then there was a good selection of in-house baked pastries. The coffee was excellent! That's from a coffee snob. I believe... More

We had a breakfast in this nice cafe, great choice of dishes and deserts, portions are super big (for European standards!). Also, this place has a special charm, totally worth to stop there if you're passing by or stopped in a nearby hotel. Impressive scenery around the place, too.

Checked TripAdvisor and the locals confirmed - Alabama Hills for breakfast and lunch is the best choice in Lone Pine. They were right on! Lots of full breakfast options, as well as baked goods to go. We ate there and our favorite was the Ironman Scramble - eggs with fresh basil from the garden of the owner, fresh spinach, mushrooms,... More

If you are driving through Lone Pine, eat here. Being Sooner born and Sooner bred, I know chicken fried steak and biscuits. The chicken fried steak was indeed homemade - not just some cutlet that was breaded, deep fried and thrown on a plate, which is what you often see at places in California. But not here. What really jumped... More

The breakfast food is terrific! The breads, pastries and cookies are all fresh baked. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Breakfast portions were very large. Waitresses very friendly and helpful. Very nice atmosphere. No white bread but the sourdough was fantastic.

We ate breakfast here two mornings. They have a large selection of breakfast items along with daily specials. They bake their own breads and other baked goods. I ordered ham and eggs. The ham came on its own plate and hung over the sides, HUGE! Other items included some of the best looking fresh fruit I have seen served in... More
