Outstanding

The best pancakes I have ever eaten - honey wheat pancakes with banana & blueberries, just amazing!! Friendly service & a cool atmosphere with an extensive menu with massive portions...perfect!!...I wish I lived nearer (UK).

It was almost full; the two servers were busy but ours did not give that impression when she took our order: cheerful, smiling, and patient. The food was excellent: fresh, sautéed vegetables with grilled chicken; a "real" hamburger; and a rubinesque reuben - like sandwich made on sourdough bread from the bakroom bakery. We would definitely stop back.

Maybe it's normal to be rude in this derelict area, but as they make their living from tourism - a change of attitude is highly recommend. The quality of food is below average! Don't order the waffles with fresh berries, as they are overpriced and looked and tasted 3 days old.

My son and I went there the day after completing hiking Mt. Whitney. We got there late at 11am and wanted pancakes and french toast. They were nice enough to let us order breakfast after it was closed off for the day. Then they brought the pancakes and french toast. The food was delicious and portions huge. Coffee, BTW, was... We ate breakfast here and enjoyed it very much. Staff was great and the food was delicious. Not exactly cheap, but reasonable for the amount of food you were given. Baked goods looked delicious but we did not purchase any. Seemed to be frequented by locals and visitors alike. Convenient location. Family friendly.

Excellent old-style American diner. Perfect for lunch on our way to Mono Lake. The place was packed - locals and tourists like us.

We recently stopped for a midday brunch and were so impressed by the quantity and quality of the food. The omelet was delicious and the 1/2 avocado tuna sandwich was terrific. Just make sure like avocado. The best was how helpful they were in preparing sandwiches for our Mt. Whitney climb the next day. Definitely ranks as the best restaurant... More

Well...great food and a few wonderful servers..but the owner is typical Lone Pine Crabapple. We have choices in life, if you do not like Lone Pine, move to Madera like me and smell the cows all day long.
