Great breakfast, easy on the pocketbook

This is a friendly, home-style place where all the locals go to eat. It serves fresh, hot food in large quantities that is always well prepared. This is not the Ritz. This in one of those great places where they still serve coffee in heavy ceramic mugs and the waitress calls you sweetie, even if you are old enough to be her father. Simple breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. At first I thought the bacon was a little overdone, but it was actually perfect and was nice and thick with... More

Looking forward to lunch after reading the reviews, I was slightly disappointed. We expected the sandwiches to be big and the baked goods to be delicious but were surprised that they charge $2 extra for sharing. I knew I couldn't eat a whole sandwich myself but the thought of paying $2 just for a clean plate bothered me since the... More

What a great breakfast! Enough to feed the whole family, but really good. You know it's going to be good when Terry, the owner meats you outside and makes you feel like old friends. My second visit, once in 2013. I wouldn't dream of coming to the area and not stopping by.

We both had the cheeseburger for lunch and a shake. Really tasty and filling food. Service was friendly and prompt. We noticed they happily welcomed a party 5 minutes before closing with no issues. A great find in this small town.

Arrived just before they closed at 2pm and had an excellent lunch. The beef dip sandwiches and the breakfast burrito were all great. Very friendly and great service too!

This is a simple place with extraordinary food. Biscuits and gravy were my favorite. There's a great mural on an inside wall showing the roads in the Alabama Hills. There's a gentleman who will name all the mountain tops for you and provide tips on navigating the area. Highly recommended.

Monday morning for breakfast. Place was full, no wait, but at most, 30 people in the restaurant with 3 servers working. Took 5 minutes to get a drink order, got coffee right away, but no other drinks were ever brought. After 15 minutes, asked if somebody could take our order, to which a snarky reply was made that our server... More

We had breakfast on a Sunday and the place was packed. Folks waited outside for 15-20 min; wait staff was nonstop busy (sorta felt a bit impersonal...too busy to say good morning). The food is expensive but the quality and quantity is spot on. We had the Spooks omelette with hash browns, biscuit, and a side of bacon - easily... More

Had breakfast for the 1st time there. Small cafe with fun feel. Very busy. It seemed obvious to me that this was a locals spot. Great feel with nothing fancy, just good food and very cheap. Absolutely will go back when passing by again.
