I don't understand the great reviews of this place. The food was below par and the service was also below par. The waitresses had a bad attitude. You get much better food and service around the corner at Mt Whitney restaurant and if you're willing to drive 22 miles, you'll get excellent food and service at the Ranch House Cafe... More

Really good baked goods/breads. Not a ton of seating so get there early on a holiday weekend. Bacon was served cold this time, but otherwise food was delivered quickly, coffee poured regularly. You may have to remind them for hot water if you are tea drinker and drinking a lot of tea. :)

A little hard to find entrance on Post St, small and crowded, closes at 2. We had a good lunch here after stopping for gas and to see the film museum. Club sandwich was large enough to share and a generous supply of fries were included. Worth a stop if you are nearby.

Breakfast here was so fantastic, we went twice in as many days. The special the first morning was sublime: apple cinnamon roll french toast, which was basically a squashed cinnamon roll with fresh apples and cinnamon. It came with sides, too, and everything was delicious. You can upgrade your side biscuit to a biscuit with gravy, which takes up an... More

The cafe was right across the street from our motel and it turned out to be something to look forward to all 3 days we were in town. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious regardless if you love the savory dishes of eggs, omelettes breakfast burritos, hash or you choose something sweeter like pancakes,... More

My husband and I drove to Lone Pine to try to get a glimpse of Mt. Whitney. While at the visitor center, we asked where to eat lunch and they directed us to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches were large and very good, but the star of this show is the bakery. After staring into the case... More

My one regret is not eating an entire meal here, however while I waited at the counter to be helped, I saw the waitress deliver meals that looked INCREDIBLE. However, let me discuss the amazing baked goods!!! I bought my brother in law a cinnamon roll that screamed HOMEMADE GOODNESS, not one of those gloppy messes at the chain stores.... More

They make it from scratch, and plenty of it. The menu of the breakfast-all-day and lunch place is huge and fascinating. Although not a regular breakfast eater, I had difficulty deciding what to order because several dishes looked creative. Then there was a good selection of in-house baked pastries. The coffee was excellent! That's from a coffee snob. I believe... More

We had a breakfast in this nice cafe, great choice of dishes and deserts, portions are super big (for European standards!). Also, this place has a special charm, totally worth to stop there if you're passing by or stopped in a nearby hotel. Impressive scenery around the place, too.
