Great Food!

We had dinner here before our hike up to Mt. Whitney and it was so good we came back a few nights later before we left town!

The elk entree was excellent. However the rest of the meal was OK, not sure if it was worth the price, but the staff was very nice. French onion soup was OK if a but salty but that is the nature of the soup. Shrimp scampi was like another reviewers comment. Very bland in the garlic section and had diced... More

We have a nice dinner here on a Saturday night. The food was good. The atmosphere is very casual. The food is priced in the upper range. Two dinners (pasta and chicken breast) cost us about $50.00. The service was very good. It was a surprise to see the prices when you are in the restaurant because the restaurant is... More

Lone Pine is a small, funky little town with a great simple just good foods restaurant. Nice atmosphere and service. My husband and I sat at the off to the side bar and quickly had a nice conversation with another couple. Our table was ready and we went into a much nicer room than I had expected. I ordered a... just passing through town and had the new york steak raymond. never had cream and large cracked peppers on steaks because one time in vegas there was blue cheese on my steak. it ruined the taste. hated it. but the steak here was evenly pink throughout, charred nicely, cream sauce was thin and not overwhelming. they could improve on better... A quality meal in Lone Pine. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years (about 20 years). Of the restaurants along the 395 highway, this is consistent. Though I have to admit, it was better 20 years ago. There was a change of ownership, that brought this restaurant from a 5 star to a 4 star. A better... More

This pace was recommended to me by the lady at the Film Museum as one of the nice places in town. Her idea of "nice" was that they had tablecloths on the tables. Considering where I was, I didn't have high expectations, but they still managed to disappoint. I arrived and accepted the table they gave me. The table was... More

Wonderful food in a nice atmosphere. Pasta was cooked to perfection (al dente) and deliciously seasoned. Scampi italien was yummy too. Very good service and reasonably priced. Definitely recommendable.

Motel clerk said it was the best restaurant in town for dinner. Probably right. Had trout and salmon, and a local (Mammoth) IPA. We would go back.
