I like to go and watch football games, get a great beer and eat fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy. Some would say the service is slow at the Cafe', but I disagree. The kitchen takes its time to create delicious, fresh food and the staff are generally experienced and professional. This is not fast food. If you want a... More

I was in town for business and this restaurant was recommended as, "if you have only one meal in Lompoc, you have to eat at Jalama Beach Cafe, and you have to have the Jalama burger." So, I followed that advice and it was excellent. The service was excellent, and I got the burger on chibata bread instead of the... More

Been going here sporadically for years and most times things have been good. Lately it seems quality has been going downhill. Some of the recent items I have had were less than stellar. They prime Rib just wasn't. The flat iron steak had no texture was about 4 inches thick. The cheddar bacon soup was rather salty.

I was meeting a friend for dinner. She had not arrived yet but they seated me and brought an appetizer plate of veggies and dip while I was waiting. Then they gave us time to order and our drinks. My burger was really great and the Jalama chips nice and crunchy. Wonderful and friendly. Food was yummy!

A nice little place, very old but restored really good. Not really a place for special occasions but always dependable for a good meal when you just want to get out of the house. The smothered steak is my favorite but the burgers are all really great.

I've had limited time in Lompoc but it has not been easy to find good food. This little diner saved the day and I do not hesitate to recommend you visit for a great Americana diner experience with good food and home made chips!

My wife and I ate dinner. My turkey burger was huge and the fries were very crispy. The wife had the chowder and loved it.

Went around 9 pm on a Friday. Not many people there. Super friendly staff!!! They made the dinner even better. I was traveling alone, so the interaction was welcome. Most people hate liver and onions, but I enjoy it. This was the absolute BEST L&O I've ever had! Panko crusted and fried to perfection with delicious local red onions and... More

Only eaten here for breakfast but love, love, love their hash browns. Friendly service, large menu. Decorated in a beach theme with a small gift shop. We hear the burgers are great and plan to try them next.
