We are use to Tex-Mex and Southwest spices which made the food bland. It was good but bland. Eat some place else if from the southwest or Texas.

This happens to be the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life. It is not only tasteless and bland, they do not even make an ttempt to upgrade or improve in their cirrca 1979 offerings. I actually was going to send my food back, but instead ate a few bites of everything to sample and each time... More

Hmmmm... One star or two? Let me see... * Below average food * Reasonable service * Appalling seating and decor Okay, one star is just fine. I've eaten here intentionally once in 35 years. The other three times I've been, I've done so because others were going and invited me. Some things you do things for family and friends that... More

Been eating at San Martin for many years. Sometimes excellent and sometimes pretty basic/standard. Their chips and salsa have always been good. Today the food was just average. prices remain good.

Basic Mexican fare but done well, along with reasonable prices. I ordered their shrimp enchilada special, which came with lots of shrimp, not just a little as you might get elsewhere.

I have been eating at Cafe San Martin for my whole life (off and on) as it seems to be good at times, and not so good at other times. This last time was for a birthday dinner, at the request of the birthday girl. The server was great, but the place was VERY dirty, and the food mediocre at... More

If your looking to get a healthier meal try a chicken or bean tostada with no cheese. They use white chicken breast meat . Not dark noby gristle like some of the other resturants do(YUCK). My daughter loves the tamales, husband loves the chili rellenos, son love the chicken tacos. Taco tuesdays are a blast. Great prices! They need a... More

I love the chicken mole. I order it at the to go window and the only down fall is the price changes depending on who takes my order. Sometimes its $9.98 and sometimes it's $11.01. Since I don't speak spanish it's impossible to get an explanation.

Came here a lot as a kid and always had taquitos or shredded beef tacos. Always wondered why dinner took so long -- it was because parents were waiting for slow-cooked chili verde to be ready. Now I know to do the same, or if in a hurry get some taquitos and an order if chili colorado.

This is where I go to run into old friends. No tourist clientelle, just locals looking for good mexican food. San Martin has been around since the 40's and is nothing to look at from the street but has wonderful food. It changed hands and is as good now as every.
