The first thing I think of is warmth. This cafe just feels friendly. We first went there for a 50's themed wedding almost two years ago. It was so much fun! We don't live in Lodi, but we've always wanted to go back to Hollywood Cafe. When we finally made it back last night, they remembered us. Wow! The cafe... More

Stopped by this little cafe while traveling thru Lodi. The decor is old Hollywood with an auto theme. We greeted by the owner, who also served us. I cannot say enough about the service. It seemed like they knew just about everyone who stopped in to eat. Hugs and handshakes for the regulars. The owner's father circled the tables with... More

My husband and I enjoy the many, many options on the menu. Love the made-from-scratch recipes. Comfort food, Mexican, Portuguese linguica, fresh salads, cinnamon rolls, hamburgers... all great tasting!

It is obvious when you first walk in that if you are not regular, you are not welcome. Rude service, had to ask for water and tea refills. Saw waitress blow her nose, not wash her hands and deliver tood to tables. Servers were eating and drinking coffee while working. 45 minute wait for the food which was overpriced, greasy... More

I have been here and the food is excellent. The staff is really nice and polite and they get to know you real quickly. The food there is brilliant, I didn't know it exsited until there was a crab feed that I had to volenteer at, but the food was delicious. The owner is really nice and knows how to... More

title sums it up ~ won't go back! we've been several times and finally decided not to waste our time or money going there anymore! We've gone for breakfast. Tried to go for dinner however the restaurant was not open when the hours stated they were open. Can't comment on dinners..maybe the staff is awake by then so the service... More

I had seen a Sacramento television station "review" of the Hollywood Cafe back in December, I think, and it looked like a fun place to go for lunch; finally made it there for the first time in June when I was in Lodi. Went back in early July. Both the times the food was excellent--served HOT on HOT plates. Service... More

We've been here a few times. The French Dip is quite yummy, lots of beef. Grilled chicken salad also good with freshly made sourdough croutons (I could eat of plateful of these alone). Check out the homemade desserts !

Step back in time when sock hops were popular. The decor is definitely 50's but newly remodeled to be so. It's a fun atmosphere and the food is very good, especially breakfast. It's my husband's favorite breakfast place in town. They have a very good veggie omelet if your watching your calories and also a yummy breakfast burrito, if you're... More

Hollywood Cafe was sold to a new couple. They appear to have cleaned up a little. Don't expect anything special. The Breakfast was OK. There is a 50's Diner on Hwy 108 just east of Oakdale that is my Favorite! NEVER a problem with their food and they serve Grizzly Beer! Meanwhile, I will probably go back to Hollywood Cafe... More
