wish they had more lager style beer

I like this place, but wish they would have more selection of craft brews in the lager variety. Food is good, typical pub fare, and I personally like the jalapeno cilantro burgers a lot !

I've now been here 3 times, and giving 3 stars due to uneven perceptions. This is a very large, noisy and busy restaurant, with an extensive food and beverage menu. Outdoor seating is available but often expect a long wait, and many people congregating next to tables where diners are eating. Food is good, large portions, but service has been... More

Lunch was great. It is a big place. They were sooo busy, but we only had to wait for two minutes. I had the Taco salad with the ground beef. I will be craving that salad.. I might have to make the drive to go back. My husband had the Pastrami sandwich and fries. He said it was soooo good!... More

Very popular Livermore restaurant. During lunchtime on the weekends, the restaurant is packed. Good selection of food and beer. Friendly employees.

The buffet brunch leaves something to be desired. The gentlemen running the omelette station we're grateful and friendly. The food left out is nothing special, which kinda sucks because the lunches here are very good. The beer is always rocking with the variety of good shtuff. If you can wait in line or get there early enough pliny the younger... More

Only ate here once but the burgers were great. The service is good. The beer selection was impressive which is what I came back for. I would recommend it as a place to unwind after a long day and get a bite as well. Every time own should have at least one place like that this in town.

Though you must always be prepared for a wait to get a table, sometimes you can get right in--it's a very popular downtown location and worth the wait! The food and service are very good. Head to Thursdays' pint night and get a beer glass to take home. Always an enjoyable spot.

Been all over Oakland trying burgers and First Street Ale House is better than all in my and my wife's opinion. So, not sure why some other reviews had bad experience. Their garlic fries are also very tasty. Only tried one beer which was good, but they have a good selection so plenty to try later.
