Very good craft beer selection at reasonable prices. Food and service was great. Nice patio seating in front and rear of this nice brick building with ample parking behind. We'll be back!

We went to the movies and wanted a late night place to eat dinner - First Street Ale House was perfect for that. It was a pleasant summer night out with a full moon so we sat outside in their delightful patio area (Note: Their heat lamps there will keep you toasty warm). I ordered their superb barbecue chicken wings... More

I had the half pound mushroom burger which was very good. Service was great, and I loved the look and feel of the wide open saloon type atmosphere. Plenty of parking in the rear.

So I was driving home from the beach and needing to make a pit stop. I ended up downtown in Livermore and looked on my trusty Yelp app to see what was good. It was 8:30pm on a Tuesday evening and this place had tons of reviews over 750! and still had high ratings so I took a jaunt over... More

We got here on a Saturday around 1:30ish, and we didn't even try for the front parking and just found a place in the back on the gravel. They quoted a long wait, and it wasn't which was awesome. They don't give pagers here, they ask for your number and text you when your table is ready which is quite... More

The Ale house is on First Street in Livermore, basically the middle of restaurant row. I do not advise trying to park out front as the establishment is at an intersection and 2 major cross walks, might take you a while to get out the parking spot, consider using the rear lot between First and Railroad. Let’s talk about beer... More

First Street Alehouse has long been one of Downtown Livermore's treasures. Its popularity just continues to grow because at Alehouse you can count on consistency. The menu has good variety -something for every appetite. You want a really great burger? They have lots of 'em, as well as several other mouth-watering sandwiches. Salads or soups? They've got you covered. Appetizers?... More

As someone who dines here ~2 months over the last ~2 years, I've had consistently good experiences. If you're looking for a casual place and enjoy indulging in fine beers and burgers, then this is your place. The atmosphere is lively, the décor is welcoming and the service is friendly and evenly paced. Whether you're having a "buddies" or "girls"... More

Found this place on the way home. We needed a restaurant with outdoor seating, since we had our little dog with us. We first ordered a cheese plate for an appetizer. We were not prepared for the size. Two different cheeses, cup of olives, apple slices and tons of crackers all over the plate. This could have been a meal... More
