Great Food Great Service

The Ale House is a great place to be. Its a big restaurant, that's always jumping with business. There burgers are the best in fact all their food is good for the value. The waiters and waitress are very quick and attentive, I have never have had a bad experience other than waiting for a table... read more

One of the most popular local places in Livermore. They started out in a smaller place and out grew it, and moved to a larger place with more outdoor seating. The food is good, with people coming for miles to eat their burgers. I love their fish and chips with sweet potato fries, ask for some sweet chili sauce. They... More

This place is bigger on the inside. I bit loud but the service is good and the burgers are really good. I little pricey for a beer and burger joint but still nice.

Downtown Livermore has a lot of choices for food. We chose this one. Nice outdoor patio meant we could bring the dog (many dog-friendly options in Livermore). It was extremely busy, but we only waited a short time for our table. Beer selection includes a great variety of local brews and beers from afar. Beer served quickly, which is always... More

WE live in Livermore so we are frequent customers of First Street Ale House. It's a great gathering place but don't go there for a quite meal. It has sports on TV, outside setting that welcomes pets and a great selection of beers. The food is good, my favorite pulled pork sandwich, the staff is friendly and a fun place... More

We generally prefer drinking & eating in the bar which is usually a pretty crowded place. The community tables are serviced by a very friendly group of servers and it is rare to receive bad service. The cajun fries are my favorite appetizer but calamari is also quite good. We come back every couple of weeks in the afternoon after... More

Food choices are vast and burgers totally yummy including the veggie burger. You are able to to get salads and other healthy choices. Love their Fries too !!!! Service is always outstanding, friendly people, attentive and eager to make your experience outstanding. Fun to watch people in the dining outside area also. Very busy so we tend to go around... Although it's location is great, its always packed and the vibe is hopping...the food is always a disappointment. I've gone here numerous times hoping for a different experience and each time walk away disappointed I spent the time and money on crappy food at a cool place.

Food is always fantastic and so is the service. Love the atmosphere. It's a fun and happening place to go. It's always crowded but you never have to wait long for a table. Lots of beers to choose from.

Too crowded- not my kind of place. Very popular with families that are not particular, and have very big appetites. Not for foodies or those interested in atmosphere.
