I fell in love with Salads at this restaurant because they are so fresh here. Breakfast foods were traditional and really good. Nice quiet hometown place.

Very high quality well prepared meals. Unusual menu items, pumpkin bread with orange yogurt spread, shrimp stuffed avocado salad. Southwestern style Cioppino (Thursday only), liver and onions, pumpkin custard with raspberry yogurt and cranberry compote. All very tasty, well prepared and presented. This is a cafe with a counter, booths and tables. Jewel tea dinnerware and blue willow plates displayed... More

RR is a treat for my husband and I. After searching for a decent breakfast/brunch spot in our area we happened upon this cafe. It has a very small town, old-time diner feel complete with long counter seating. The staff is very friendly, and attentive, I think my husband and I drank the equivalent of a pot of coffee, because... More

RR Cafe has maintained their quality & friendliness despite the many years in business and the move away from the railroad! They have a lovely small town diner feel with consistently good food, now and again I just have to drop in for their Swedish Pancakes or a great omelette.

Well I really feel bad giving this place 3 stars. The waitress was sooooo nice and the restaurant has such a homely feel. Defiantly a locals restaurant, everyone know everyone, literally. However, the food needs a lot more improvement. Food was very flavorless and you can tell it wasn't fresh. My wife ordered corn beef hash and you can tell... More

We were looking for a breakfast spot in Livermore. The Railroad Cafe had good reviews and was close to our destination. Food was very good and what you'd expect from a family-owned establishment. Service was just delightful, with our server (number 6 on the guest check) checking back and refilling coffee often. What initially was a huge turnoff was the... More

This restaurant is family owned and operated. They take great pride in their cooking. The liver I ordered was well prepared and very tasty, Service was very prompt, and they paid close attention to my needs throughout the meal, and the check was presented promptly when I finished.

I judge a resurant by it's vegetables and Railroad cafe has good, fresh and plentiful veggies. The menu is pretty extensive and everyone should be able to find something that "hits the spot". Only gone for lunch and take my grown sons who's appetites are pretty hearty. We always enjoy the meal. Service is great and the atmosphere is homey.... More
