Fantastically adorable restaurant serving freshest catches - farm to table…. Small restaurant settled behind a gas station and convenient store however with a beautiful view of the North Coast. Trek over to Wild Fish, it's worth it!

In Southern California the restaurants by and large are big and pretentious. The food looses it's intimacy. Not here. Wild Fish is a quaint, 8 table, restaurant which oozes charm and personality. The ingredients are locally sourced and skillfully crafted into simple but flavorful meals. The wine pairings were spot on from mostly small wineries. The service was friendly and... More

Such a gem. Only has 9 tables so definitely call before you go. Great fish and not much else so if you're looking for a choice of meats, this is not the place but the fish is wild and delicious. Kelvin is a charming host and his pride in his restaurant shows. The Cod and Halibut are great as is... More

The restaurant is quite small - and furnished and lit beautifully. The menu is wonderful and varied, and the execution superb. This is fine dining, from the perfectly put together tarragon pesto black cod, to the nuanced clam chowder, perfectly sautéed fingerling potatoes. I also enjoyed the seafood risotto - nicely done with crab, local fish, prawns and fresh lemon... More

We had a great meal at Wild Fish and enjoyed the service by Amanda, Kelvin and Liz. Our table was by the windows with a terrific view of the cliffs, rocks and the ocean. We shared everything, as usual and started with the soup of the day. We had a bottle of the Husch Sauvignon Blanc 2012 (around $32). It... More

This is a cute little restuarant with the most wonderful fresh season. The chef does an excellent job from the Raw Fish Platter to the yummy Butterscotch Pudding Cake oh so yum.

From the outside,it looks like part of a gas station, but once inside, it's a restaurant that has room, a wonderful view of the cove, and a menu that has many wonderful things! Varied and with fresh fish abound, we couldn't have been happier. A great meal and good service will keep us coming back! Another great find!

On my first visit to Mendocino, I received a recommendation from our B&B to dine here. Had the best ever Halibut. Chef is extremely talented and creative. Although tiny, the view from the restaurant was expansive. Very nice wine list with lots of local wines you can't get elsewhere. For anyone visiting Mendocino, I highly recommend this hidden gem of... More

On a visit to Mendocino, we discovered this place based on a recommendation from a local. We enjoyed it so much we had to go back even though we were in town for only four nights. The fish is very fresh and the service is great. Other dishes were also delicious. The carrot soup (even though it doesn't sound exciting)... More
