A Pleasant Surprise In Old Town Lincoln

After another weekly adventure, this time to CA historical marker #400 in Virginiatown, I went in search of another local restaurant. Nearest was the town of Lincoln, and I couldn't pass up a cafe called Awful Annie's. The only thing I knew about the town of Lincoln was the growth they've seen in... read more

Located off the old highway through town. This breakfast spot can get busy. Wait times vary on group size. Decently paced are the staff to host and wait for the table. American food offerings and a mid priced point. One can find some coupons in various entertainment books. Most breakfasts I order dishes with eggs. Eggs come with potatoes. Food... More

It's always nice to go into a place that feels like your Grandmother's kitchen. The staff was extremely pleasant. Jennifer, our server, talked to us as though we were guests in her home. The food tasted like my midwest Grandmother's breakfast. Fresh cut fruit, warm muffins, fluffy pancakes, and thick french toast. I love IHOP, but nothing beats home cooking!

Awful Annie is a popular family-owned place for breakfast, especially after church. There may have some waiting time which varies, but they will let you know the approximate time. The Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. They have a place at the upper deck for a larger group for special occasions, if you make arrangements in advance. They offer a... More

My daughters and I go to breakfast weekly. We felt this was "too far" to drive, but ventured out a couple of weeks ago! The food is excellent! We have allergies, omnivores and vegans in our party - they've ALWAYS gotten our order right. We've done several breakfasts now and a couple of lunches. EVERYTHING we've ordered has been yummy.... This is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch. The sandwiches and salads are so good. One of the big surprises for me was when I finally tried their triple cheese grilled sandwich with bacon. WOW! It is so good, I am sure it is sinful. Always quick service and freshly made food. When we have visitors we... More

Love this place for breakfast/brunch. The country benedict is so ridiculously good. Not to mention everything else on the menu. In all the times that my wife and I have gone to this place, we have never been disappointed.
