Better than Phils BBQ and in a Surprising Area of Town

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that we have a fairly close option nearby if we crave BBQ. We got take out and the food was off the hook ! We ordered beef brisket sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich and some pork ribs. The homemade coleslaw was ehhh. My only complaint is that they forgot... read more

Yum yum, had the brisket and the jerk chicken with red beans and rice, corn bread and mac and cheese (mac and cheese is Sat only). My GF and I split it because this is quite a bit of food. Anyway the brisket was amazing didnt even need a knife. The chicken was great too, and the bbq sauce had... More

First time there I tried the pork sandwich, baked beans, corn bread & coleslaw. It was all good but I didnt like the coleslaw very much. I felt like we got a good amount of food for the money spent. They were very friendly too. Would I go back? Maybe. But there are other places I like for bbq more.

My son wanted to try this little restaurant and, frankly, I was a tad skeptical as I had never heard of it. . . well, that will change soon enough. . . the food is absolutely amazing. Best BBQ around. . . gives Phil's a run for the money. The brisket melts in your mouth with such amazing flavors. The... More

Coops Barbecue is the ultimate comfort food. It can be on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. The red beans and rice are the best I ever ate. The beef brisket was tender. All the people waiting for their food when I was there raved about this being the best BBQ in the area.

Went here and got ribs (beef and pork), brisket and pulled pork for our work lunch. All 6 of us agreed this was as good as we have had. Will definately go back.

On many days they are smoking meat in the outdoor smoker. As you get close to the restaurant the smell will start to make your mouth water. Once you get inside the smell of the BBQ will make your stomach rumble with hunger. All of the meat is good. My favorite is their homemade sausage, there is a hint of... More

We have been to the only other high rated bar-b-q joint in the region, Phils, but nothing prepared us for Coops. Very small, no enormous line, great smells, very friendly people, large amounts of food, fair prices and comfortable. The ribs were declared great. My jerked chicken was sensational. No more endless lines for us. Coops is the deal for... More
