What a Burger

My wife and I stopped here on our way to Oregon for a quick lunch based on a review from Sunset magazine. The description of the place is spot on, a little of the 70's meets the redwoods. We split the bacon cheese burger, which came with a small cup of cole slaw, which was just average. The... read more

The locals recommended The Peg House and we were not disappointed. The food was EXCELLENT! Husband had tri tip sandwich and I had the special, salmon sandwich. Both came with homemade coleslaw. We bought a large oatmeal cookie to share later. It was melt-in-the-mouth yummy! It would be easy to pass right by this place if you are traveling on... More

its a great place to stop for a snack and road trip groceries. The Sunset burger is their signature burger but the salmon burger is a good one also.

A nice variety of foods to choose from and the Rootbeer Floats were refreshing on a very warm day. This was recommended to us by the Redwoods River Resort.

The only place to go in Leggett, which worried us, but it was very good. Limited take-out only menu with very good homemade sandwiches, cold beer & even deviled eggs. We ate on their patio, but had to compete with mosquitos, even in May. Great little store with friendly helpful owners. I'd definitely go back!

Good food. Selection is not huge but the food is hearty and good. The nearby Taber trail is a great little hike.
