Stumbled upon the Peg House in our travels ~ Good food! Breakfast burrito was great! Nice seating outside too.

We stopped here for lunch and I was expecting the usual cold sandwiches made the day before, soggy and gross. Was I wrong!! It was really good- fresh and made to order with hot food served out window service in the back. Homemade tri-tip steak sandwiches, homemade ice tea. It was really a treat! We sat under the shade umbrellas,... More

Best possible salmon burger in the world. Flaky salmon chunks, fresh veg and bun, it's outdoors so only summertime picnic place.. Others at the table loved their beef burger and their oysters.

Granted...the place it kitchy and interesting. Ordered the burger featured in Sunset...didn't really get it. It was okay, but the meat seemed really salty. Still,...glad I went there.

This place is in the middle of nowhere and we didn't have high expectations. That being said we were hungary from a long hike. The burgers and tri tips sandwiches were fresh and home made. They were delicious! No fries, but fresh pickles and coleslaw. A great place to talk to other travelers and fill your belly

My husband and I stopped here in our way down to San Francisco. There is no way we would have stopped if we had not read reviews, as the first time we drove by we didn't even notice it as a place that serves food. When we did stop, it was a beautiful day for sitting outside and it was... More

I had the beef brisquet sandwich! It was very good. My wife had the salmon sandwich and loved it. They serve beer and wine, and have live music a couple nights a week. The best part was the locally picked blackberry sunday! Delicious. On location there is also a convenience store/souvenir shop with a large selection to choose from.

If you're lost in northern California and hungry enough to take advice from a grease monkey filling your gas tank you might get lucky like I did. The peg house has hands down one of the best burgers you'll probably never try. But if you do happen to be so fortunate, do it. Great little oasis on your trip between... More

Although it took quite a while for burger to be prepared, it was worth the wait. Sitting outside under a parachute shade in the midst of redwoods eating a good burger was a great experience - and I usually do not like eating outdoors. Having a live band while we were there made it even better.

We stopped here while on a road trip with our 3 kids - ages 13, 11 and 8. The Peg House is quite unique - all the tables are outside on a large patio. You order and pick up at a window, the menu varies from burgers to oysters, nachos to chicken . . . the staff was very patient... More
