I had read about this place on T/A before we left on our June vacation to the Yosemite area, so I was not surprised that our Lee Vining motel owner recommended it to us. Thus it was on our agenda, and we stopped to eat here after our tour of the Tuolumne Meadows area on the east side of Yosemite.... more

I heard about the Mobil Gas Station near Lee Vining, and have stopped by several times. It is okay for a soda or ice cream on a hot day, but it is basically a large 7-11 store, with aisles of candy and camping accessories. Kids running around yelling and wanting candy and ice cream is not the kind of place... more

Like so many of these reviews we were impressed by a over the top restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We have eaten in lots of places, coast to coast, and it was nice to see somebody making an effort to deliver some service. The wife loved her food, fish, I ordered a cowboy burger and fries, I got a... more

The food is very tasty and very creative in the combination of flavors and textures. however it is overpriced for both the quantity and in a general way. the service is quick but it is too cramped to eat comfortably at the location, take it to go if you can but be aware that they add 50 cents to the... more

Good food, nice options...a little pricey for my liking. Nice place to rejuvenate and fill up but don't go starving cause it will cost you. more

Can't believe how packed this place is with overpriced awful food ! I know the location is good, but come on! $8 for a pre- packaged soggy baloney sandwich is not a good deal! ( They call it a sub sandwich !) Actually the food at the Mono Cone, and in Yosemite is much better and better priced. But ,If... more

Ok, really one of the best places to eat within 100 miles north or south on 395. I rarely visit the area without stopping here. Never had a bad meal yet. My personal faves, the fish tacos, ribs, BBQ Pizza, and the omelets. Love the omelet with smoked trout, but I'm too stuffed to hike after breakfast here as it's... more

Who would believe that you could find food this insanely delicious in a gas station? The menu has something for everyone.. traditional fare to unique.. options for carnivores and vegitarians... I had the best fish tacos of my life with mango salsa while hubby opted for traditional cowboy burger. Literally, the best french fries we have ever had! We had... more

We asked our hotel manager if the BBQ place down the street was good....he said, yes, but if you REALLY want to try some good food, go up to the Mobile Restaurant. What? I couldn't believe that he was recommending a gas station restaurant (that was a first!)....but it peaked my curiosity so much, I had to go and try... more

Definitely believe the hype. Excellent food, fun atmosphere. It is a bit expensive for roadside food, but the food quality and preparation was well worth it for us. We had the lobster taquitos, fish tacos, pulled pork, and swordfish sandwich and all of it was excellent. The place is super clean, food came up quickly, and the staff were friendly.... more
