This was recommended to us by a friend, or we would have zoomed right past it. We shared a delighful mushroom soup with crostini and goat cheese on top, as well as a fish taco plate. Each taco had a different and wonderful salsa. The service was friendly and charming, and the view of the lake from our table was... more

$25 for a pizza. Gas priced way above current market rates. These guys know they have a virtual monopoly on food and gas in the area and they are not afraid to gouge you. Skip this palce and go down the road a couple of blocks to find stores and restaurants that are somewhat more reasonable. more

This is your best choice on the east side of Yosemite. I traveled from Vegas to Lee Vinings and spent several days in Yosemite. I did my TA research and found a ideal (price vs. features) hotel...Murphey's Motel. I also saw the reviews on the Whoa Neli Deli. It was perfect! I was "spent" from a full day at Yosemite... more

My friend and I, enroute to Yosemite National Park, from Reno, in mid June, stopped to visit the very interesting Mono Lake just off Rt 395. We planned to find a place to have lunch in the little town we had gone through, but fortunately at the corner of Tioga Rd, just before the eastern entrance to Yosemite, we noticed... more

Anyone that stops at a gas station "deli" knows they are not in for a white table cloth experience. At the same time, you would never expect what you get at this stop. The menu is eclectic, the staff is friendly, offering information on their menu items as well as suggestions. We have tried many of their meals, and have... more

After a recommendation from a coworker and rave reviews on TA, we decided to make it a point to stop by and see what all the hype was about. After a 2 day stay in Yosemite, we drove over Tioga Pass to spend the 3rd night of our road trip in Lee Vining and stopped here for dinner. Since we... more

My family stayed in Lee Vining 2 days and ate at the Whoa Deil 2 times. We had blackened sashimi and venison cutlets-excellent! We were lucky enough to be there on a Monday and Tuesday so not busy at all. For those visiting at busier times, relax and wait-you will not regret it. more

I rated this above average, but for me it was excellent - reason for rating is I know that the Whoa Nelli Deli can get busy and there can be a wait to order/get food/ find a place to sit. We had seen a TV show that talked about the Whoa Nelli and decided to try it out. We were... more

My wife and I had our first trip to the infamous "mobile mart" in June 2007. Our friends had told us the stories and kept us intrigued with the thought of getting a tank of gas and a full restaurant style meal all in one shot. Well, we were even more impressed than we thought we would be. Talk about... more
