When the Mobil Station gets a little old . . .

We had lovely service and a very good dinner here as a celebration at the end of a week of exploring. Not as elegant as it was in the past, but not as expensive either.

The menu was excellent and this is one of those places where you walk in and realize that you want to eat here - smells good, atmosphere, etc. they were short staffed, so even though everything outside said they were open for dinner we were turned down. No, cannot serve you tonight. But choices on the menu were very interesting.... More

Thank you for your opinion of our menu. However, being told there will be a 45 minute wait is not being turned away. We ask that our potential customers remember where they are, an extremely remote location. We have a limited to zero employee base here. Even when employees are found, most cannot grasp the menu, let alone the wine... More

This restaurant had the mot spectacular view of sunset over the lake, breathtaking. The food was wonderful, great menu, and the wine was good too. However, the service was a little off the boil, and one of (I presume owners) seemed irritated and uninterested. It escalated when he had a huge row in the kitchen with chef. It was a... More

The appetizer menu is a bit eclectic as are some of the entrees. But, the quality is first rate. The portions are reasonable compared to the gargantuan servings elsewhere in the area. The outdoor seating is great. Especially at sunset. Very romantic. Recommended place to propose!

We visited the spectacular Mono Lake while vacationing in Mammoth, and decided to add a dinner at the Mono Inn. I had seen very mixed reviews on this site so we went in with slightly lower expectations. The restaurant is really just one small room with a patio. Every table has the same beautiful view and the ambiance is simple... More

This restaurant has the most marvelous views of Mono Lake. The food is very good. The two young ladies that waited on our table were excellent, friendly and professional. I was, however, appalled at the behavior of the man who was bartending, greeting guests (assume he was the owner/manager). We had been seated at the bar while our table was... More

When staying in Lee Vining we were browsing through the different restaurants on tripadvisor. There were some bad reviews of the Mono Inn so we reserved there with some mixed feelings. However, the meals ended up to be some of the best I've ever eaten! The wild boar ribs were absolutely delicious, a wonderful marinade. My girlfriend's "etouffée", shrimps with... More

We chose the Mono Inn for a birthday dinner, and were not disappointed. The view of Mono Lake was fantastic, as was the service. The food was great. This place has been open and closed over the years, and I'm glad it is back. It is a landmark.

Jim and Mario provided an amazing meal for our annual family camping trip. The food is amazing, the view is amazing, the service is amazing. The only drawback about this place is the lack of a liquor license, but the beer and wine list sufficed! Will definitely be back!

While the food was excellent and the wait staff courteous, this could not make up for the wait and lack of communication. After a short wait for a table, the long wait for our food began. There was apparently a crisis in the kitchen, causing a major delay in getting food to patrons. No one appeared to be served for... More
