Memorable stop on the 395

We enjoyed our stop here. Unique view. Menu is on the upscale side. Carefully prepared with quality ingredients. Try the apple pie!

This restaurant is downstairs from the entrance and gives no real hint of what you'll find when you descend. But the view! Magnificent, with a lovely sunset! We arrived sometime after a very large group had settled in, and had to wait quite a while for our dinner--but the owner-server sat down and chatted with us, explained the situation, and... More

Fantastic! We stopped for dinner on our way to Bridgeport from Yosemite, and had both wonderful service and great food. The chef and waitresses spent a lot of time not only recommending sites to see in town, but also attractions throughout CA as we told them we were driving down to LA throughout our vacation. They were all so friendly,... More

I drove here from Mammoth on my way north and when I pulled up, a sign read 'Serving Dinner 5-9'. I called and they told me they stopped serving lunch and were unsuccessful in their attempt to contact Trip Adviser to advise. I said said I'd leave a note on the TA site. The menu looks terrific.

This charming little restaurant is located in an historic inn. There is an outside seating area if the weather is nice, but in any case there are great views of Mono Lake from either inside or outside locations. The menu is limited, but has mostly dishes prepared from very fresh local ingredients. We both started with salads, a Caesar for... More

This restaurant has an amazing view of Mono Lake. We liked everything about this experience: the food, the friendly service, the amazing view. You can sit outside and have a glass of wine and appetizers; inside the furnishings are lovely and make this a fine casual dining experience.

My father-in-law and his wife took us here after a day of exploring the Mono Lake / Tioga Pass area, and I was really very pleasantly surprised to by the Historic Mono Inn. When we pulled in, we were a little before the dinner rush, so there was only one car in the parking lot (and I immediately started thinking,... More

This is one of the best 'hidden gems' we've found! Absolutely stunning views of Mono Lake. Service was professional yet friendly & helpful. The food was fantastic! The Peppercorn Flat Iron steak was cooked to perfection, moist, tender and unbelievably delicious. The Elk Burger with Bleu Cheese & Caramelized Onion on a brioche bun was heavenly. And the Cardamom Creme... More
