There's a reason for the line...

This family-owned and operated old school burger joint is one of the treasures of the Eastern Sierra. Whatever you order, it's always fresh, filling, and tasty. A year in year out landmark on hwy 395. The ice cream cones are just what's needed on a hot day. Fast service, good value. This place is a favorite of the whole family.

I had the best coffee shake around!!!!! From here we walked over to the park, enjoyed the view and walked back to our cabin. Great location.

We drove through Lee Vining after visiting Bodie. We were a little hungry and wanted something quick to snack on. We saw that Mono Cone had a line out front and figure it'd be good. We didn't get reception here, so we had no way to verify. The prices first appeared to be a bit on the high side, despite... More

Passing through Lee Vining and stopped at old time favorite. Was happy it was still open in October, will be closing for the season next week. Got a malt that hit the spot. Until next time!

Of all the places we ate in Lee Vining, the Mono Cone as the most fun, and the best food. It's really just a burger/ice cream stand, but it's a good one. There is inside seating and a nice picnic area out back with some shade. The burgers and fries were quite good, and we all had soft serve too.... More

I drove through Lee VIning recently and just had to stop at this cute little soft serve shop. I only had a vanilla ice cream cone, but it was soooo good, soooo creamy, sooo perfect on a hot September that I will be back, someday, somehow, someway!

Reasonably priced. Good service. Great banana split. Indoor or outdoor seating. Full menu. Right close to center of town.

Okay, where is Lee Vining and why would I want to go there? Okay, Eastern Sierra, on Highway 395 between access to Tioga Pass and Sonora Pass. Why would I want to go, well because Mono Cone is there. The 50+ generation knows the old time burger place with ice cream from our youth. It still lives in Lee Vining,... More

There aren't many dining choices around Mono Lake, and the Mono Cone seemed like the best quick stop for a family just passing through. It was busy both times we went. During the summer be ready to order quickly so the flies don't get in through the order window! There is an enclosed room attached to the restaurant or a... More
